Tends to happen from time to time.

You're supposed to helping OP! Feels like we're gonna get a picture of your closet cleaned and organized AND your lost shoe before these new guys post up a pic. :deadhorse:

As to your shift question I haven't worked 12's in years but I felt like once I grew accustomed to the 12 hour shift itself, the time of day didn't matter unless going from a-p to p-a IYKWIM?

At one point in my life, I worked 12s in a busy warehouse and never stopped moving. I would seriously not even sit down for an entire shift sometimes, at least until I sat in my car to drive home. I would be so mentally and physically exhausted that I almost felt drunk.

It was rough and I was always pretty frazzled, but I think it wouldn’t be all that bad with a slower job that was more laid back.

    Thanks for the comments.
I think I will bid on it. I don't have a kid at home (well, actually I do, but he should be getting his ass out of my house soon enough) and I like staying up late, so there's that. Plus, when you work 12's your whole day is pretty much shot anyhow. And, as a bonus...very little o/t. I hate that shit. Now watch me not get it. There's only 800 people there. And I cuss people. Alot.

That's exactly what I do, 100mph as soon as I walk in the door. But in the last year or so I've pretty much decided to take my breaks. They can come kiss my fat ass if it bothers them. Can you tell I love it?

Hey Bob. All good here. I miss the view from my office and the frequent "happy hour" meetings with cohorts but otherwise, things are good. I feel pretty lucky that I can work from home and have a lot of empathy for those that can't.

Just my 2 cents is it wouldn’t be doable to me, but I would imagine you could get used to it. As you know, a person that works 12 hour shifts doesn’t get much done other than sleep and eat in the 12 hours they are off. But not having to deal with bullshit means a lot. But realize the grass ain’t always greener across the fence.

I did that at a warehouse job, unpacking semitrailers from the port straight from china. These containers were 40 foot and hand packed. It was always a gamble what was in one, could be giant 100lb office desks, or individual little boxes or items.
One we cracked up and dreaded it horribly. 5 man team, one supervisor, one guy running the fork lift and 3 unpacking/sorting. This trailer ccontained 1000's of flannel shirts, s,m,l,xl,xxl. We had to take them out and place on a pallet in appropriate sizes l, wrap it up once a pallet was full and supervisor would mark it and either went into inventory or direct to shipping. We did that and 1.5 other trailers with different product in it. All in a 12 hour shift. It was a temp job for me, but begging us to come work permanently. I wasn't willing to piss in a cup..

Glad you're doing good. We miss you around these parts.
The thing that gets me is this...the guy that came and talked to me worked in my department for a few years. He hated it as much (or more) than I do. Now he walks around with this big shit eating grin on his face. I want a big shit eating grin.

He over greases it. This is the second time I’ve fixed it and the first had that much in there as well.
