    Absolutely! What a good attitude!!

2 of the people I work directly with (so half my department) don't take the time to do anything right, so along with what I'm trying to get done, I'm watching them, showing mistakes, fixing mistakes, (repeat as necessary) and getting frustrated by the lack pride

Really? I wouldn’t think that about you! I didn’t think that about Stock either. Apparently, I’m a terrible judge of character! Who knew?

1983 is when I dropped out of HS so I owe you one decade of respect. :hattip:
My chemistry teacher was going over unit conversions and says “one cubic foot is 12 cubic inches”. I look around and people are writing this blasphemy down. I challenged Teach on her flawed grasp of fundamental mathematics. She was not receptive to my logic. I both became famous and dropped out that same day.
Dad showed up in Navy khakis and scrambled eggs and was not happy.

I knew a guy like that who subcontracted framing.
But he was bigger and looked a lot like our very own Thor. A lot.
    @MagtechPA :)

Ever wonder why I troll him with that Thor stuff?
    That's why.
    Plus it's just fun. :notsure:

    Story Time.

Anyway, the guy I'm talking about had nail guns of course, but sometimes you need a framing hammer.
He had a big one. 36 oz.
I myself have a 28 oz Estwing framing hammer. (I built decks from time to time.)
That's a big, heavy, long handled hammer.
Run of the mill claw or ripping hammers run 16 oz or so.

This guy (his name was Halberstadt) would have a handful of 16 penny nails in one hand and his hammer in another.
He'd stick a nail in one motion with his left hand and get his hand out of the way.
No tap tap tap to start it, oh no.
    Jab...
    ...then Wham

    One hit, and nail set.
Every 20 or so nails, he didn't hit it perfectly and it would zing away.
With a sound like those bullet ricochet sound effects in War movies.

Can’t help it! Too many people looking for the easy way out, if they even show up. The pool of people we hire from is full of fucktards, dipshits, and jack-asses. I would say that we get 2 good prospects out of every 10.
