I really need help with my truck

Hey guys! My truck has a very bad right hand pull to it. I have done a bunch of things to it, but nothing has worked. I am really at a loss right now. Could you guys please help? Here is what I have done so far:

1 - New tires
2 - alignment
3 - New Tie rods and alignment
4 - new brake calipers and pads

I will be changing the steering rack bushings and brake rotors in the next couple of weeks. Anything else you guys can think of?

 

Is your frame twisted to shit?

 

Hell I hope not! Is it easy to check?

 

Frame is probably tweaked. What was your alignment spec after it was done?

 

Have you hit or done anything that would have tweaked the frame?

 

Everything was perfect. They couldnt align it earlier because the tie rods were shot. So I had those changed and another alignment. After that, the alignment was all in spec.

 

you might have to take it to the dealer to get it aligned if you just took it to a local shop?

 

I bought my truck used so I am not sure what the previous owner did. I sure as hell didnt hit anything.

 

How do I check the frame?

 

Take off the bumper see if any damage, i took mine off and it was previously crashed, thats why mine pulls to the right aswell. even after aligmnent.

 

call up some shops and ask if they can check to see if your frame is bent. they usually dont charge for that. but dont hold me to that

 

Take it to your local body shop, find out how much to put it on the frame machine that's the only true way to find out if the frame is bent or twisted.

 

Alright, I'll go check with a local shop. Hopefully it isn't tweaked

 

Before rushing off to check the frame, did you do a lift of any kind and is the alignment shop you used experienced in doing lifted trucks.

 

No lift on the truck. It is basically all stock.

So is there nothing else besides a bent frame that could be wrong? I'm really hoping it aint the frame.

 

Describe the pull in more detail. For instance, when you are going down the road, coasting at say 25 mph, if you let go of the steering wheel, does the steering wheel turn on its own?

This may be a long shot but have you checked your rear brakes? If the right one is dragging it would cause a pull to the right that wouldn't involve the steering wheel. If one rear brake is dragging, the wheel and drum on that side would be hotter to the touch compared to the other side.

Just a thought, since you seemed to have eliminated all the front components as possible culprits.

 

Have someone follow you and study your tracking-is it looking like a crab running? The dragging brake is a good idea too-I got nothing else other than a possible slipped belt in a front tire-

 

You said calipers were replaced but how about brake hoses? They could be blocked causing a pull

 

No I haven't changed the brake hoses. When I let go of the sterring wheel, the wheel does turn to the right. I basically need the steering wheel cocked to the left to drive straight. If I let it go, the truck starts heading right and the wheel turns to the right. I did notice that when I brake hard, the truck seems to pull even harder. I almost feel like I have to fight it to keep it straight. Any ideas what would cause that?

 

If it looks like a crab, would that be the frame?
