I haven’t served, although I have been looking at the coast guard since I’m young enough to go in, do 4 years, and then go the officer route.
I am a part time police officer, so my range report from the PD for qualifying should be proof, but I also have a hunters safety card that I got in Cali that most states will also accept as proof of firearms knowledge.
They should have almost all the info they need because I had a resident permit for Virginia in 2017.

I didn’t know much about Cleckner until recently, I remembered him from the Vortex nation podcast on long range shooting but I just stumbled across his “trigger words” podcast and he had a short biography in the first episode. He is an incredible resource for knowledge on both the practical shooting side as well as the legalities side.

It sounds like you could just skip rocket ccw and just do the process on your own. It's not difficult at all. I have some friends in the CG and honestly it looks way more bad ass than any of the stuff I've seen in the navy.

I’ll check into it when I get home, I think it should be pretty easy to bypass it since I’ve already had a resident CCP with them.

Yeah, the Coast Guard is pretty badass, they have a mission statement that is inline with what I want to do and doing LE/SAR work coupled with moving stations or being on a cutter is much more exciting than patrolling a small town or one area in a city and E-4 or higher would be better pay than the average patrol officer in my area and stepping up to O- is much higher earning potential than most jobs in my area not to mention the other benefits of serving nationally vs locally.

Razor patriot on the left (with walkie talkie attachment) and the Razor Bluetooth on the right.
The BT model doesn’t have the AUX port so the walkie talkie doesn’t work with it, I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t catch that when I ordered them but I’ll use the BT model when shooting solo and the patriot when I have other shooters with me.

I forget who asked about wether these Clip loud noises or just quiet them but to answer that, I believe that they just quiet loud noises, I’ve only had them for a few minutes but I put them on and clapped near the microphone (should be loud enough to trigger the protection) and it just quieted the noise and I still heard the movie in the background.

    Nice!

My gel ear pads for my Razor Slim's arrived today. Easy to install and so much better than OEM.

    Razor mod.

Glad to hear it! My gel pads came in the box with the muffs and walkie talkies but I haven't installed them yet, I am surprised by how comfortable the OEM pads are, I thought they were uncomfortable but I had them on backwards.

I can’t speak to what you have, but as far as non-gel pads, they are comfortable until about 2 hours into having them on, then you realize you have a massive headache. At least that’s how it’s been on my peltors and sordins.

Good point, I hadn’t considered long term comfort yet.

Unfortunately it appears that the BT model may be sent back, the Bluetooth module keeps powering down after 10-30 seconds of my phone being connected and playing music even though I have fresh Duracell’s in the unit.
I’m going to read through the online manual and try to troubleshoot but I think I would be better off going with standard razors and a Bluetooth earbud underneath.

No but I have now! Lol. I just don't want another AR something. I have an AR15 lower sitting around already that I could use to build an AR9 but just want something different.

Yep, the patches on two of them and the one pair (Gadsden flag and Texas) don’t have Velcro for patches.

Thanks JB :fistbump: I prefer to put my money in the pockets of other members on here whenever possible. I sub'd on the site for info, etc. Right now I'm in the market for a mag, ammo and an optic system. The prices are your web site are very good.

I have some friends on here that hang out in Randalls Lair, I'm sure you know most of them. This forum has treated me well, and quite honestly I love it here. With all that said, I've said it before and have sent well wishes when I can to y'all, but again, thanks for running a great forum  Hope you and your family, co-workers and friends all stay safe down there.
