This has probably been talked about in this massive thread, but I'm putting together a home gym to try and keep my sanity. I'm only supporting American made though. I know a lot of the Rogue stuff is made here. Also found Black Widow in New York, Legend in TN, and some of the stuff on Iron Company's website is made here. If anybody can make other recommendations I would appreciate it.

Define "American made"... Like actual American made by American metal/products then manufactured at an American company and made into gym equipment?

Cause that doesn't really exist anymore.

American made now means "hey we took some Chinese/Taiwanese materials and did some light machining and assembly in America and now it's American made"

Don't be fooled by the whole "authentic American made" thing. It's just marketing.

My definition is making purchases to support American jobs. Check out blackwidowtg.com. That is what I'm talking about. More than light tooling there, but I know what you mean.

I'm trying to do what I can. TW is the only online forum I use and thought the Official Gym and Fitness Thread might be a good place to get some quality feedback.

"All of our training gear is made out of heavy duty steel and built in the USA"

Case in point. Kinda the same with Rogue, they really only use American steel for bars and high end racks, but even then, without an XRF scanner you won't be able to tell where the metal is from and it's real quality. Everything else made by Rogue is Chinese and South American. They do a lot of R&D here and machining so you're still supporting American jobs technically. I'm sure the place you posted does the same.

These companies don't have to make everything or source everything from the US to get the "US Made" badge. The requirements are loose and very open to interpretation. Just do what feels best for you

Well my goal is to have everything at least with the badge. As a consumer I think that's the best I can shoot for. Just ordered some straps from Spud Inc. Rogue Monster Lite Rack and bench are on the way. Barbells and plates are like trying to find dinosaur bones right now, but I've reached out to Legend.
