Just wanted to be a fourth voice that wants the 2.0 tune, desperately, for my manual Taco. If we're all serious, that's nearly $4k in sales on a piece of software that's already finished.

I bought my Tacoma literally days before the flash sale/sold out announcement, even emailed because the one I had in my cart changed prices while I was waiting to take delivery of my truck. I traded my 2016 in for a 4Runner because I hated it. I fell for the same BS and bought a 2020 just because I wanted three pedals again. Now I'm already thinking about trading it if I can't get this miracle tune. Fool me once... :sadviolin:

Don't trade your truck in because even if we don't decide to sell 2.0 with vF I am confident you will find someone here who is willing to share, or sell their copy.

I am modeling my decisions based on what was said above. I don't want to undercut the customers who made all of this happen, who got us to where we are.

We will find the best solution we can to make you guys happy.

One thing that would make me happy is that sweet sweet 2.0 tune :)

We're are not looking at large time spans here, esp with the virus craziness.

Let's see vF, how things go with it, what develops out of it.

A ton of stuff has developed in the last 14mo that I had the tunes. Not long after 1.05B dropped.

Edit. Oops! I meant to quote @johntesi .

There’s definitely going to be people in the community tuning and selling tunes. Once vf flash is out and people figure out what they are doing... the community will likely be quite active.

I put my 33” mud tires on today and the truck drives like a dog now. Been using the 2.0 beta tune since last October but its not enough to bring the crappy auto transmission shifting in check.

    Welcome to the MT thread....

Also, use the shift restrictor/manual "S" mode on your auto. And the ECT button.

Save up for gears. 33' is about the break point, anything bigger you'll definitely need to regear. Wouldn't hurt now, but give it a whirl with the power settings mentioned above.

I have a set of 4.88 gears since the first month of buying the truck. It was undriveable otherwise. For some reason I keep landing on the MT thread. You guys are just too awesome!

Not gonna quote everyone, but yeah I've also considered trading in my truck because of the wonky stock tune paired up with the MT. I've been increasingly dissatisfied with the day to day driveability of my truck lately and even noticing it off road. So much so that I'd consider not owning it in the future.

I'm not in a position to trade in, but getting my hands on 2.0 is my last ditch effort to enjoy what this truck should be and could be. I do like the truck...and I was just a few minutes too late on buying a flash kit. Maybe it will all work out in the end.

ADM and 2.0 and you’ll love the truck. It took a while to get here but I really enjoy it now and don’t have any complaints.

once vf lands I’m sure someone will be more than willing to help you out

You're in Washington. Once vF drops, I'm sure you could bargain @tonered to lend his time and tuning capabilities for a nice affordable price

I bet just the single torque table modification Mat did would be enough to satisfy the daily driving needs of a lot of ppl.

Wow. Ok who's the resident lawyer in here?
Better have a bulletproof EULA drawn up if you're gonna start selling tunes to each other.
You know how ppl can be.

Mat should block-chain tunes and force transfers through his server at $0.99 each.

    Oops, did I say that?
