From what I could see in the other pictures they had posted, the seats closed just fine. When the seats were up it looked factory (I didnt save those pictures because they didnt show anything fun)

The way they made the box (im guessing) is that they built the full enclosure for the subs, then they built a trim panel that covered it all by using 1/4 inch fiberboard. It should be a pretty easy thing to build.

That’s the way I’m thinking it’s built also.

285/70r17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers, 17x9 SCS Ray 10's, JBA UCA's, HD leaf pack, Sundown X12 with 2000 watt amp, Archive Garage Hammer Hangers, Bilstein 5100s in the rear, Ultimate headlight mod, LED map/dome lights, Plate rear bumper with reverse LED pods, Weathertech floor mats, Double din HU
I got two JL 10's with a JBL 600 watt rms amp in a sub box that fits behind the back of my double cab rear seats. Hits the notes clean and loud. I'll probably be putting the lot up for sale soon, gonna post pictures tomorrow.

$60 single subwoofee box from eBay. Dayton audio HO 10inch powered by a pioneer amp. Not booming bass, but certain songs the highs hit amazing..very clean sounding sub for the price.

How y'all like those Daytons? Sound pretty good, huh?

Those are a stupid value for the coin - way underpriced.

Yea, loving the HO, went ported first and was boomy. The .70cuft enclosure took up most of the space behind the seat. Was suggested to use .35 cuft sealed box and was blown away. Flat response that blends with the front stage, perfectly.

I believe the boomy part. It needs probably that much vent volume alone to even justify a ported enclosure.

I don't know this generation truck that well, but it looks to me like you rebuilt that back wall. What all's goin on there?

CLD tiles then covered the back in ensolite. The black strip down the middle and on top are the exposed ensolite. Carpeted MDF and stuffed in between the cross braces. The black vertical pieces are covered with scrap ensolite and screwed into center cross brace to help hold the MDF, which is jammed in tight and probably wouldnt move.. but..

Here you can see the epic fail. The wrap around slot port that was sticking out the side of the box. Drilled holes in MDF to hide wires behind amp rack. Used foam to help isolate box from back wall. Put it all together and chased rattles like a mofo. Have no idea why i saved the pic. I did learn alot and had fun doing it. Still messing around back there, with a plan to add another HO.

No fail there at all. Except that one wire nut

Seriously, that's a lot of thought and effort. I love projects like this...try something, don't like it, try something else, learn some stuff along the way. Word up!

And mad props for dragging the vent outside the enclosure. Who does that?

I bought my box from them. They’re currently not building anything due to the Covid bs.

yea man, it’s alot of fun, still use wire nuts here and there lol, way better than sticky electrical tape until I found out about Tesa tape.
Dragging the vent outside the box, this knucklehead was bound and determined to get that HO ported and in the truck. Spent many hours measuring, drawing sketches, scratching head. Finally figured out material list and made all the cuts. Went to put it together and it was all wrong lol
