This is interesting. I don't want to cheap I when considering functional mods like Lifts and tires, but for Accessories, I'm a bit more flexible. I don't personally care whether it's name brand or not, so long as it does what I need it to, I'm good to go.

As far as GPS: I know very little about stereo install, but I was under the impression that GPS/Nav stereos require an external GPS antenna. You're truck might have an antenna installed from the factory, but I'm not sure. Others might chime in on that (I believe I've seen someone around here talking about all 2nd Gens all having them pre-installed :notsure:)

Awaiting Install news and a IN-DEPTH review... Possibly a video upload of it's various functions would be fantastic.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention: If the Overheating potential is a 'Fire Hazard', yeah that would concern me. Hopefully the OP's review can address that as well.

I just noticed this. Anybody have any ideas on this? Would love to have my Rear-View camera display over the stereo.

Ok guys soo the install was going surprisingly easy tilll I realized that the harness I got with the dash kit was for a tacoma WITHOUT the JBL system!!! I didn't know there was a difference :( anyways... After trips to pepboys and walmart and autozone I found that it's not a common harness and I went to audio excellence where the guys knew exactly what I needed but they couldn't get it till tomorrow. The other stereo shops wanted 50-100 bucks for the harness! I got it for 30 all is well and it should be up and running tomorrow keep in mind I work till 7 soo pics will be up late.

Sorry I'm on my phone so I can't upload the pics I have so far
