Annoying yes, but not really that difficult, seat stayed in the same spot. In retrospect I could have left the right seat mount. 4th gen 4R, 4spd Atlas above the frame rails.

Here’s what I did for the seat mount.

Did you get your suspension from RST? A buddy of mine is getting the run around from RST also on his purchase.

Before ordering, Wyatt told him - "Yes everything you need is in stock and will ship in a day or two"
After payment is made: "It'll ship no later this XXX date" to "covid 19 excuse" and "shipping label coming shortly"

I told him to cancel his order and go through another company who will appreciate his money. Why do business with a company who push you around and lie.

He told me TODAY it shipped out, he has been pretty generous with me after I explained my frustrations. Would I order another kit.. mmm don't know

I will add that with a 2 speed and clocking it flat you might be in seat relocating territory, the planetary pushed the main case back far enough in my situation to avoid that issue.

Well, had about 250 miles on the truck after the build and had to drive it 1,000 miles each way to Denver for work. I’m 650 miles into it and the truck is doing great, goes 80mph no problem and I’m averaging 14mpg with 37’s, 5.29’s and a SC. Had the opportunity to hop on a scale and I’m 5100lbs with the RTT and fridge and tools on board. I’m going to change the fluid in my new marlin crawl box, damn that thing gets hot! I did my rear axle before I left. I thought I may be making a mistake taking the Tacoma but it’s really fun to drive. Wyoming sure is a pretty state.

By the way, where do you relocate the dipstick on a 3.4 when you change the oil pan? I couldn’t figure it out so mines in the stock location and it bottoms out.

    Same here.

Mines trimmed alot as in I couldnt tell there is oil in there even if I wanted to. If the engine doesn't seize up, it's got enough oil, Life in the big city.

Drilled the block and use t100 oil dip stick and tube. You still need the tube oring and sleeve/block insert. I probably have the part numbers somewhere.

1997 t4r has super duty axles, 5.13s locked front and rear. 3 link front with 14" kings. Rear 63s.
My 97 had a plug in it. Knocked it out and put the adapter in. It came with a plug for the original spot and I knocked that one in.

The Barnes4wd DIY 3 link kit looks like a great value compared to the 4wu one.
