Hey all! I've been trying for weeks to get the best deal I can from a few local dealers on the following:

    2011 DC LB TRD Sport
    Black
    Towing Package
    6-disc CD Changer w/ XM (90-day Subscription)
    Daytime Running Lights
Floor Mats & Door Sill Protectors

The lowest I can get any of the dealers to go is $29,650. Where they end up varying is on the trade, a 2006 Mazda 3s GT with Leather, Bose, Moonroof, Spoiler and around 60k miles. With that factored in I've gotten prices between $20,650 and $22,650 (before tax, title and tags). What I'm trying to find out is if $29,650 is a good price? The dealer won't go in any lower, nor can I get them to throw any extras in. Edmunds TMV is $29,867. TrueCar.com average is $30,552 with the Dealer Invoice at $29,628, and great price is anything below $29,999.

Also, I live in the North East. Would you guys advise I getting it
undercoated as soon as I get it?

Thanks for all your help. TW has been a wealth of knowledge!

JBL? That price looks like invoice to me.

No JBL... and I know it's right around invoice. Like I've said, I've tried 3 other dealers and can't get any of them to go any lower. And if they go lower they screw me on the trade. Every market is different, and it always seems like things are more expensive in the NE.

    EDIT:

Also, are there any TSB's that I should try to make the dealer do before I take delivery?

With the JBL, the invoice is about $30.2K. I don't think you'd get them to go any lower specially when you have a trade because they will play with the numbers that way and there is no incentives for the 2011 whatsover.

As far as TSB, none on the 2011's so far. You can have them put the Rear Spring TSB 0305-08 on your "due bill". The paperwork that states the agreed upon parts, accesories or services. They can't do the TSB until the truck is actually in your name so about 2 weeks after you buy it.

Actually, I didn't spring the trade on them until I got down to the lowest cash price ny of the dealers would go. Then I told them I decided I didn't want 2 vehicles. So we haggled on the truck price before the trade-in price.

Isn't there a TSB for a reflash of some sort for the transmission? And I just saw one that had something do do with loose steering?

    Thanks!

I know there's a reflash for the auto tranny but I don't think that includes the 11's. My truck shifts different from my cousin's 09 without a reflash. As far as the loose steering, I only felt that with my 09. Those TSB aren't a problem for the dealerships to do, it's the rear spring that's like pulling teeth since the 11's are not included yet.

I'll try to make them do it. It's a truck and it's going to be used to haul stuff. I don't it to have a crappy ride when I use it for what it's designed for. Thanks for your help Driver!

Any other opinions on the price? I need to let the dealer know so they can put a hold on the vehicle and then go get it. It's about 200 or so away.

    Thanks!

$29,650 is about what I paid except without a trade and it looks like the same setup. My MSRP was $32,659. I could post the invoice details if you like, it includes TDA, HB, Reserve, Destination

    Breakdown:
    Vehicle Base (Dealer $): $24,398
    Accessories: $3,083
    DRL: $32
    V6 Tow Package: $520
Floor Mats & Door Sill: $126
    Total Acc: $3,761
    Destination: $810
    TDA: $512
    Dealer Holdback: $550
    Financial Reserve: $275
Total Invoice (as dealers would quote): $30,316.60

Pre-tax. What was your MSRP and was there anything else bringing the price down (like trades)?

I would really like to see your invoice or at least the numbers, because something isn't adding up. I don't see how yours could be so different from other similarly equipped vehicles without some reason.

$29.2K is a possible price. I doubt it is 4x4 and double cab though and it's very rare a dealer would give up their hold back and other hidden charges but invoice is a good price.

I would never tell a dealer how you are going to pay or if you have a trade in until after you have settled on a price.... if you do, you aren't getting the best deal they will F you if they know everything you are going to do Trade/finance etc.

You are talking about 4x4 at this price right?
