@trekinit just installed a fancy Cane Creek coil. I was riding behind him and he was popping off everything - looked like a lot of fun

I'm glad to see them putting decent wheels and tires on now, that E-13 stuff that came up my buddys top of the line Jeffsy was garbage.

I’ve heard good things but never tried anything myself. The post above is the first time I’ve heard anything bad about their wheels to be honest

Ok, story time. I took my buddy to Pisgah for his very first time. We rode up fire road and just as we were about to go down Black he pops one of his E13 tires. These tires were trash anyway, super hard. So no big deal, he has them set up tubeless, plenty of sealant. I plug the tire, go to pump it up, and find that E13 has used some kind of non-standard Presta valve that flares out so much that my pump will not fit on it. So my buddy gets to walk all the way down Black after putting in all that work to climb up there. This was just our experience, the wheels may be fine.

I won't trust many tires besides a few that I and almost everyone else has ridden.
As for the valves, kinda sucks that you couldn't inflate them. But isn't it kind of on him for not making sure he had the right equipment to inflate his tire?
Just because a tire blew and you couldn't inflate it doesn't mean they make "garbage"

non standard presta valves exist? Or were they funky shraeders?

I actually don’t know anyone that uses E13 tires. I have literally only used Maxxis even from my BMX days, and everyone I know does the same.

What are these called? I have a set of M1700s that I bought as new takeoffs and they came with the 54t ratchet already installed.
