Yea, they aren’t down, just lost some sizzle. I dumped that cruise stuff, I was thinking about it too much. I don’t like holding stuff I think about. When carnival started talking about starting with some ships this fall with only using half the rooms or something, I lost my stomach for it. So they’ll be up 200% in no time.

My day gains are decent still. Overnight optimism will probably meet Friday trends later in the day though.

No shit. 62 in a few months.

Feel like I'm 30 though. I could retire, wife wants to work 1 or 2 more years - and would expect me to stay home...laundry, clean toilets, dishes, cook...........may as well get well paid.

    I'll be 56 in July, but have a 10yo, so I'll be working until I'm 67ish.

For stock positions NVDA is 40% of my portfolio. They have been for 5 years. They are a solid company with strong growth and that's not going to change in our lifetime.

That’s quite a bit of weight, but it will probably work out well. You’ll probably beat the market for a while that way.

Started 5 years ago and keep adding to my position every year. I just wait for them to dip then buy some more. I also play options on them when I think they are undervalued. That has worked out very well for me.

do you take advantage of low premiums? I don't have the balls to play options. That being said, when I do, I usually buy super cheap OTM ones so that's probably why they don't work out for me

Buying OTM money options is like throwing a Hail Mary. I never buy OTM. I always buy ITM and at least 30 days till expiry. This is what works more often then not for me.

I use Bollinger Bands, 50 Day SMA and 100 bar support and resistance. Once a stock moves below the SMA, get's close or below resitance, and the Bollingers start to choke point, I buy an ITM call with at least 30 days until expiry. Then I set a trailing stop at a 10% loss. Then I sit back and wait.

That trailing stop limits me to a 10% loss. If it triggers I was wrong and it was a contraction not an expansion. If I'm right I just keep an eye on the stock. If it gains I'll move the trailing stop up to lock in profit. If it keeps gaining I'll keep moving the stop. Eventually I sell.
