Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Submitted a ticket two days ago. “Purchased” the free dongle turn in vfTuner yesterday. Just now received the address from OVTuning, and the dongle is being mailed today.

For someone that doesn’t want to mess around with doing their own tuning, is 2.0 or a non user modified base version of a vf tune going to be better? From the pictures on the Ovtune website the screenshot of vf tune looks like I will screw it up if I try my own hand at tuning.

What was the deal with going from Flash Manager 1.3.3 to 1.3.0? I will update if this is needed.
I have updated everything. Is there a specific link to 1.3.0 @OVTune

 

So, I've sent in my dongle to the address Mat provided me. What is the actual next step?

 

there was a mismatch in the ini file which flash manager checks for updating.
1.3.0 is still the most updated version at this time.


There is a huge update to our site this weekend. It should help clear up remaining questions.
vF tuner will also be downloadable right from the main page.

we want this to be easy, streamlined, simple.

this is a 2 hour webinar condensed just to show how much we went over.
Thisis for the RC F, of course but still.
we went over the basics of understanding some of the tables, modifying them, how to datalog, interpreting dyno plots. etc.
really basic stuff, but we have webinars planned for the Tacoma as well.

How soon before someone blows up their engine or puts a hole in a piston?


I for one, would NOT trust the general public with tuning software. Someone is gonna blow their engine and place the blame or sue the company that sold them the software. Big liability IMO.

 

If someone throws a hammer through their windshield, do they sue Pilkington?
