Is the tire/gear option built into the MT 2.0 that's already out?

I'd say no. If I remember correctly ..... it was for changes in the ( AT ) shift points.
We ( MT ) have that under control.
It was not intended to make speed-o changes.

Okay, I am way behind. I've been trying to work whatever I can due to my wife being laid off due to this virus. I spent my lunch trying to catch up on this, but still am not sure. I'm seeing some posts about trading in the dongle, which I own, is it better to trade in or hang on to it? I see Mat is going to post some more info this weekend, just like I said, trying to catch up. Thanks all & stay safe

I am kind of in the same boat not knowing. I have the dongle and was reluctant to send it in as I would lose the ability to use all the tunes I have saved if I wanted to use them. I ordered the $79.00 vfTune hoping Mat might include a tune library with it for us OG guys.

I’ll try and find the post for you but the mass dongle exodus is because Mat offered vF in exchange for the old dongles. No more dongles is less work for him as he won’t have to do PCM files as well as P5F for the upcoming release.

Anyone feel free to correct me if wrong.

but yeah open Zendesk ticket advising you want to mail in dongle, they’ll reply w address and instructions. Also get your System ID and send that to Zendesk, so you’re ready for P5F/Post-dong life

edit: you’ll also be able to do many diy fine tunings through vF

With the Vftune you get two tunes of your choice. I think from 1.03 on

Just to be clear, dongle = USB plug in that validates the software, NOT the OBDII cable that connects from computer to truck.
Send an email to Matt via zendesk, support@ovtune.zendesk.com Explain that you need to upgrade from the dongle

He will not be doing further development of tunes for dongle users, and is upgrading dongle users to the flash kit. This upgrade also includes a FREE copy of vftune. @M1Awolf Explain what you did and you give your order number in your zendesk email, I expect you can get the $79 refunded.

@xxTacocaTxx I am an M/T truck so 2.0 is done for my ecu with no further development with the exception of FI. I want to keep the dongle in case I need/want to revert back to stock or use the other versions of the tune I have saved at some point. If Mat was able to provide a tune library that included all the tunes he has developed for myparticular ecu I would gladly ship the dongle back.

That’s not the problem. The problem is a different file format (pcm vs p5f)

Yes,but without the dongle they are useless and they are also incompatible with vfTune from what I understand. My choices are keep dongle and all the saved tunes or free vfTune and two tunes. I want the vfTune so I can play around myself but still have the ability to use the released tunes I have saved if I needed/wanted.

Like @Shellshock said, dongle files and flash kit files are different file formats. You can't get the full library of tunes in the new format, but I think Matt said he would give 2 versions in the new format.

so you must be really lost - post twice (60627 and 60653) and unable to see replies to assist. Hard to help if you can't or won't check alerts where others have provided what to do via Mat's posts. Sad. GL.:annoyed:
