I will need a VF tuner for the turbo kit, I didn’t think they were available yet according to your website?
If the is answer yes should we buy them or wait until the kits are almost ready?

Also just to clear any confusion, for those buying the TT kit and does not have any of your previous tuning solutions, the only single option for tuning going forward is via VFTUNER correct?

In earlier posts it was mentioned that the turbos would be “bov-less” because they were loud. Wouldn’t bov’s help with compressor surge and turbo longevity? I plan on going 20+ psi later down the road and anything that helps with longevity of the turbos is a win (even if its loud) Am I wrong that bov pro’s outweigh the cons?

they will come with a bypass valve but they won't be free air bovs on the compressor housings like what I am testing with right now. They are ridiculous sounding.

Actually a good question. I was back and forth on this issue the other night with myself. I think the answer probably has something to do with the build quality of the turbos.

Edit: ovtune was quick to answer.

I'm doing a rear mounted turbo system from STS on my Tacoma I'm going to be buying an orange virus tuner will the tuner be eligible for boost?
or should I be getting a different tuner.
I'm going to be a twin-scroll rear turbo setup on my V6 4.0 Tacoma.

    pulley kit
urd throttle body conversion to a 76 mm tundra throttle body
long-arm suspension wide body kit lowered with carbon fiber fenders carbon fiber hood and a custom carbon-fiber fastback over my bed
fuel injectors and some spicy spark plugs
the next thing I'm going to be doing is getting a valve spring kit with oversized valves

when I can save up the money I'm going to do performance crank Pistons with custom camshafts..

If you haven't purchased it yet, don't. Twin scroll is fancy, but will do no benefit with a single exhaust tube feeding it.

Received and made some progress on fitting the TR1035 today. OV if you don't want this in here then I'll remove it, just didn't want to start a new thread for fitment. Picture heavy, but I wanted to give you guys an idea of where I'm at. First the background...2018 OR, taco garage pro grill, sdhq hidden winch mount and pack relocation kit with 10-S warn platinum.

Edit: Damn, these were all supposed to be thumbnails, sorry for the picture sizing. I'll edit them to thumbnails if I figure out how.

Pushed the horns back a bit, before and after.
    HornFactory.jpg to HornRelocation.jpg

Had to push my winch pack back a little. Don't have a before, moved it 1-5/8" back to put the wire right up on the radiator. Had to put 2 wires behind that tube.
    PackRelocation.jpg Pack Wiring.jpg

Drivers side before and after cutting, didn't do passenger, you get the idea. Will clean that up a little later.
    RightFactory.jpg RightCut.jpg

Grill 'Tit' and partial bottom plate removal, both sides. The Tit gets in the way of the inter-cooler piping and the bottom plate is in the way of inter-cooler mounting. Why do I keep capitalizing Tit?
    GrillTit.jpg GrillBottomPlate.jpg

Drivers side bottom mount location. Mocked up some steel, going to bolt to the two bottom holes and weld a tab coming up to bolt the inter-cooler. This is just a mock up, I'm obviously going to catch both inter-cooler mounting holes. To be done in 1/4" aluminum. My new TIG is coming this week so I'm going to wait for it to fab the mounts. But I think it'll mount perfectly right there, I'm also going to fab and weld a bracket to the top of the inter-cooler and grab the hood latch mount to secure the top, so I'll have 3 points.
    BottomRightIntercooler.jpg BottomRightIntercoolerMounting.jpg

Will mount the inter-cooler so it leans back, it's the only way to land in front of my winch pack AND come out behind the headlights.
    IntercoolerNoGrillLeanBack.jpg IntercoolerBehindGrill.jpg IntercoolerNoGrill.jpg

Anyone have a part number for this clip? I could use a couple/few.
    Clip.jpg

This inter-cooler is big in that little hole for sure, but I think I'm going to get it. I bought 45s to go back into the engine compartment but that's not going to work....even 90s are going to be tight. Need to cut some metal behind the headlights to breach the engine compartment. Ordered the 90s up, welder should be in on Tuesday, so I'm hoping to have it all mounted up and pointed into the engine compartment by the end of next weekend. The TR10C that other guy mentioned earlier could work too, think it'll still need 90s that 45 up and back towards the engine compartment. I'm committed on the TR1035 for now, I'll know if it'll fit for sure by end of next weekend. Glad I'm getting this out of the way now, it'll be all motor work when I get the kit.

Nice work! looks tight but if it fits, will be looking into same setup. My winch looks like it may sit a little lower then yours but i need to get the grill off to see for sure.

    Awesome work!
You guys can freely share what you guys are doing if it's related to our products.

Also those two thin plastics you cut, in our instructions it just says to remove them completely.

Yeah most people yank them out. I’ve got mine removed from the SDHQ Behind the grill light mount I have installed.
