I knew someone would bring up Ultra 4. That's like comparing a TT to a Tacoma and saying look what it can become. lol

But I see what you're saying. IFS has become much more competitive, even in the rocks.

Not meant for a comparison. You'd be an idiot to start with a Taco frame and try and buggy it. Just build the damn buggy from the ground up. I've pushed my rig as far as I can. The next one will be a tube build. Ground up. Maybe even with portals. It's all about how much money I want to throw at it. lol

Exactly. Portals are legit. Just very costly.

Goat fab or WOD LJ chassis is as close as you'll get to that unless you go one off. Do it:boink::bananadance:

Nah I like the taco. Idea so long as I don’t destroy it before I can do it is to somehow do a center mount 9” up front and links in the rear. Somewhere in the 20ish inches of travel up front and then close to 30 out back? Maybe? Build starts in 3-5yrs depending on how life goes between now and then.

This^^^^^^^^ SE there are some guys running bouncers and buggies with some pretty nasty IFS set ups.
that'll be interesting I've been thinking and thinking and staring under the truck for that myself as I see some nasty IFS set ups really working hard.
    Rock bounce that bitch!!!! :boink:

A center mounted diff will never come close to working in a Tacoma

That's a pretty bold statement coming from someone who has an 81 truck that's not much of an 81 truck left. All there needs to be is the VIN # for it to be a Tacoma :boink:

Technically you could build a center diff buggy and drop a Tacoma cab skin and doors on it.

Your kit isn't up my alley, plus I'm going to be doing some custom one off stuff so it wouldn't be useful. Mine aren't as haggered as @Arcticelf .

All sorts of stuff, flat belly from the rear ifs cossmember back, differnt front diff mounts tucking the skid higher, redoing the front IFS mounts completely. May end up working on the stock ifs crossmembers and changing them.
