Well originally I was quoted like 33k for 2020 white 4x4 off road and I was like yeah it’s nice and so is black and he said I could try to get you that one for 35 then we drove it and it went back and forth from 38ish but I kept telling him he told me 35 and we ended up on 36,900. A very late deal too. Left the dealer at 10:30 pm

Exactly. Get some money off the truck first, but if I doesn’t go that way then do little mods they’ll keep you happy.

That's a solid deal for sure! Can't blame you for jumping on that one!

I have to say I'm pretty surprised at all the people buying right now. The economy just shed 22 million jobs in a matter of weeks, and I have to say I do not have a lot of faith in the next year or two. I kind of want to sit on my cash unless it's an absolutely smokin' deal. I'd rather keep my powder dry.

I 100% feel you. If this rona shit never happened. I would of bought a truck by now. Now Im just taking my time. I got the cash to pay it full. And still have a good amount of savings. But even then its so hard to pull the trigger unless the deal is great.

Exactly where I’m at. In 2016, there was more significant difference in OR vs SR5 prices. Probably because a lot of the tech/safety stuff being standard now.

What month do they usually release the new model years? Might change this year?

If I remember correctly from previous years, the factories switch over in late August and then they usually start rolling into dealers in mid to late September.

It’s usually fall. August/September time frame. This goes back many years to farmers harvesting their crops in the fall and being flush with cash to buy a new vehicle.

lots of people still working. I’m considered an essential employee and have little chance at losing my job. Only thing I’m “losing” is I’m not getting 32 hours of overtime every pay period. Currently driving an 04 Honda Civic which I’m in no hurry to park but it is time for a truck so when the right deal comes along I’ll be all over it

Bummer. That's a lot of income that just went bye-bye. There's "essential" industries as it pertains to COVID-19, and then there's "recession-proof." Are you in the latter group as well?

Surprised there are no layoffs there, what with the decimation in the airlines industry.

Yes certainly for the time being it seems to be working out. Most of us are doing a 5 day rotation followed by 10 off so the decrease in traffic helps accommodate the schedule

In the dealer right now and it is packed. Literally not enough customer parking spots.
