help with lift measurements please

I was just wanting to get some feedback from some of you guys. I don't really know what my front lift is to be honest. I'm pretty sure it's 2.5", but I'm not positive. Before I knew what TW was, I just wanted to get the front high enough to get some 285's later on. So I just went to a local shop and told him that. Of course he ordered a spacer, and at the time I did not know any better and never asked what size it was or anything. Later on I found TW and discovered the AAL instead of the block he was also suggesting. I'm mainly wondering why my rear is an inch higher than the front. I don't know if that's typical of a 2.5'' front, 2'' rear, or if i actually have less than 2.5'' in the front and that's why my rear is higher. Maybe it's supposed to be a little higher in the rear. I just really would like to see some other measurements or know how much my lift actually is.

Here's what I know:
-probably a 2.5'' spacer
-2'' AAL

ground to fender measurements:
front driver - 37 3/4
front passenger - 37 3/4
rear driver - 39
rear passenger - 39 1/8

I have 265/75/16 tires, so that's also about 1" higher than stock.

That sounds about right for a 2.5" lift. Mine went from 35" in the front to 37.6 after settling. My rear went from 37" to 39.25"...

A lot of it has to do with where it was prior to the lift as well too...
My buddy installed an OME 3" on his d-cab long box and after setting it is no higher then mine...his shocks/ springs were hella worn out.

 

mine is 37.5 front and back with one inch blocks in the back not sure was size spacers they put in the front but seem about the same size as mine....mine is perfectly level

i looked around some and i think the typical stock height is 35''. i'm sure that beating the suspension to hell would lower that a little bit. so that probably explains his. plus, if a taco is a base model 2x4, it already sits pretty low. i bet after a 3'' lift those sit about as high as a regular trd.

Alright, I'm at 38" in the front and 40" in the back - from the ground

from the hubs its 23 1/4 in the front and 25 1/2 in the back.

so now i have another question. i plan on getting 5100's sometime to get rid of the spacers. you basically just take out the old shocks, set the 5100's to 2.5'', and you have your lift, right? you don't have to get new coils or anything? and will setting the 5100's higher, 2.5'' in my case, reduce ride quality compared to if they were set at 0''?

That's correct. It will be stiffer than if it were set to 0 but it should be better than the spacers. If you want it lifted and smoother, then you'll need coils (either the Toytec adjustable coilover or the ebauch coils).
