Excedy says 30% of the friction material contacts on install if that answers your question.

For my excedy clutch it was literally 30% of wide open throttle until the clutch wore in. Of course, the more it broke in the more throttle could be given

I don't generally agree with "break Ins" as far as new cars go when you buy them off the showroom floor, but when you put in stuff like new diffs, flywheels, brakes, things of that nature which require proper seating, meshing, and bed in procedures, I totally am for that sort of thing.

I know. My body felt pulverized after the headers and my hands felt like they had tendonitis for a few days lol. Also I'm watching my four year old boy all the time lately so that keeps me busy as hell.

I did get motivated and installed almost everything and filled the trans. Waiting on four replacement screws to install my shifter which should arrive tomorrow and haven't fully got my steering shaft together after the header install. It's not quite sitting where it was before i split it but I'm pretty sure I do have the splines lined up right.

Might change the diff fluids since it's still jacked up and then pulleys and cam gears hopefully! Pretty stoked to get all this stuff done.

This. Spec says to drive very moderately for at least 500 miles. No launches, no speed shifting, no drag races.

Honestly its not even patience. It's pretty hard to drive when its chattering and slipping. It's a learning curve for sure.

    My shit is all stock.
I think the clutch I installed (CM FX-400) would be almost undriveable without the hydro bearing. I often refer to it as “digital”. There’s a bit of slip. Albeit in a very tiny window. Takes real concentration to be even close to smooth. Especially when starting from a stop. The stock release setup wouldn’t have the feel to make it workable at all. Pretty confident that this MF’r ain’t slippin tho. No matter what I do to it or how much power I’m able to wrangle out of this 4.slow.

I take the slipping part back. It is not slipping. Lol

Alright guys. All who have chimed in about exhaust, transmission and other random mods, please chime in again.

I require a small list to compile requiring names of parts for desired pulley sizes, bla bla, bla bla. I think you get the gist. Please add to the list in this style and I will work on page 1 as needed.
