part identification -- CV Axle removal -- small spring

    When removing my driver CV axle to replace the ecgs bearing this spring came off with the outer shaft and it has some kinks in it -- can someone help identify this part. I'd like to replace it when re-assembling.

    That's the spring to the seal on the back of the spindle. You'll need to get the seal for the spindle there isn't a separate part for the spring it's a cheap part like 15 bucks or so.

    You might as well go ahead and replace both seals.
    The inner and outer. One is in the back side of the spindle. (The one you need to replace currently)
    The other is on the cv. It is the one you see in your picture.
