It definitely does that hence why my LCA mounts and cam bolts aren't fully destroyed yet. Any parks open up near you? I know Windrock and AOP are everything is pretty locked down here. I am tempted to head out there and wheel.

That's a crew cab need a AC or baby taco. Also 1st gen is a little better choice than the 2nd gen. (I may have thought about this and planned this wayyyyyy to much and long).

    Hahaha, nice.

That would be fun as hell to drive, need a camper shell for the bed too, to hide all the stuff out back

Oh no it'll still be front engine and not really any bed left. Push the rear axle forward and bob the bed. There are plenty of compact I6 and 4 bangers that you can offset enough and still be able to run a passenger also get enough power to push big tires. It definitely would be on the racecar side of a street car, but NC is pretty lax for inspections and stuff sooooooo..............

There is no way you’re doing a respectable rig for under $200k especially not with independent... as some one who has first had experience with these build it’s not gonna happen. And if you want a finished rig with creature comforts it’s gonna be more like $300-500k

Your expectation level of a respectable rig compared to others are vastly different.
The East Coast guys are something different. Lived out there for 8 years.

Not to take anything away from anyone but 81Trekker's skills lead to some truly remarkable work. Anyone can spooge fluxcore on some HREW and call it built. What we're seeing here is next level.

Thank you for setting the record straight Shane! I always forget we live in a different world out here in SoCal and the stuff we see is vastly different.

Fab work costs aside parts still cost the same no matter what coast you live on and the parts cost alone to build a street legal ifs buggy is at a minimum $100k. Anyone who disagrees has never actually built anything close. All the little shit adds up. Hell I have at least $50k into my hooptie 81’ with solid axles
