What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Better late than never. To anyone that hasn't made this one of their first purchases I highly recommend doing so. Probably the single most practical addition that you will make to your Tacoma and at just over $80 it's a best buy!

 

I've had these trucks exclusively since 1993 (my first). Been through a lot of variations but all have been Silver Access Cabs with 4X4.

 

Completely agree about the bed mat. A great complement to the bed mat is the Bed Rug tailgate cover - makes a great knee saver & tailgate seat.

 

Did the same to mine but haven't painted the letters yet. I'm afraid they'll turn out looking wonky.

 

Sh!t, I paid $103 for mine.

 

I bought a rubber one. Still sitting in my mod pile. Anyting but those ridges is better on these old knees.

 

I too was worried about the letters/symbol with plasti-dip. My fears came true. It was the biggest PITA, and I’m not happy with the results. However, I figured that I could always remove the dip and go with the vinyl overlays. I will eventually do that, but I’m leaving it for now.

 

Looks very good Tom, seems like it was worth the effort!

 

Where are you guys finding these? I was going to make one but if price is right might not.

 

Had maroon truck with cap, just turned 31. Don’t regret it at all. I often think about tossing one on the Taco just because old man caps are great.

Thanks, I built it after someone rolled a stop sign and whacked the side of my truck. Pushed the bedside in pretty good so I just cut it off and pulled out the welder.
