I have billstein 5100s all around. On ome 888 coils up front. Drives great honestly, not much of a difference from 265/75/16 Wildpeaks. Last week I drove from San Diego to Huntington on the 265/75/16 Wildpeaks and got 18.1 mpg (computer reading). Did the same drive today but on the 255 Wildpeaks and got 17.1 mpg. Both of these were just the computer readings and didn’t account for a larger tire.

My new Maxxis RAZR in 33/10.50r15. Loving them. A lot taller vs my 32/11.50 BFGs. I think this is the perfect tire size for a 1st gen. $730 for 5 tires isn’t too bad either!5DA73979-BD36-4159-8074-EC9D209C57F3.jpg CDEE9F71-43D1-4297-8996-5E265B79E916.jpg 3FA40A5A-376B-4D1A-AB1C-C24AF53CB74F.jpg 4C15C92D-BA45-4F94-AEB8-EA7F230CFBFE.jpg

I guess it’s all relative to what you’re used to. They are louder than my BFG A/T at lower speeds, but on the highway they actually quiet down to the level of an A/T tire. Mud terrains get louder as they wear though so who knows. They are definitely a quiet tire as far as mud terrains go, though.

This is such a good looking size for Tacoma’s

I do get a slight rub on the corner of my front mud flaps when turning in to parking spots, but so minor it’ll either clearance itself eventually or go away when the tire wears a little. It’s way better than some of the lowered sports cars and compacts I’ve had over the years.
    F853AFD0-7B7A-4C11-8899-C9564F43518A.jpg

    No issues in the rear.

I’ve got all of 30 miles on these so far but my impressions so far are really good. They’re noisy but different than the studded snow tires they replaced... lower pitched, more of a howl (these are my first MT tires). The ride quality and handling at 38psi is great. I’ll have some slush and ice experience on the way home tonight.

Nice. I have been on the Falkens for a few years, they are great tires. Would love to see pics of your truck from the front and rear with those on there. Possible?

I have a tiny bit of rubbing on front fender when turning over bumps at 10+ mph. Anyone have any advice on how to trim the front fender?

    I’m tired boss.
so tired from all the research.

would like to keep the weight down but I’m sure that effects longevity. I don’t wheel often.

Go to a 17” wheel and get Wildpeaks. Lighter than the rest and they still get me similar gas mileage to 265/75 tires

    Best is subjective.

KM3’s are likely the best true mud tire.

Cooper ST Max are the best all-around.

Maxxis MT-762’s are the best value, at least for me because I got them for $158ea shipped to Alaska and the rest are $225-250ea.

All are going to hit your gas mileage and all weigh 50+ pounds.

Dammit I knew I was going to get an answer like this lol! I appreciate it!

Amazon has the Maxxis bighorn mt-762 around $160 and Les Schwab has them for $240...not saying these are for sure the tires I’m going to buy but man that’s a price difference! I try not to buy from amazon too much but with savings like that it’s hard not to explore them as an option.

I’ve looked at amazon, les Schwab, discount tires, tire rack, and even Walmart (barf) for tires. Where else should I be looking?
