Gone are the days of renting and no worries or cares (cares as in not absolutely needed upgrades). 2.5 yrs in on 1st home (new construction) and I have more mods (home upgrades) than I can focus on. Fence, bamboo, grading, plants. I’m determined to have my front yard completed this year (minus either a sail shade or custom carport type cover over the driveway, because I can’t park in the single car garage)

here’s one of many I got going on… 10 yards. Didn’t look like much or as much as I was expecting at least until I put the shovel in and filled up some wheelbarrows

WTH big guy. I washed all 4 vehicles yesterday. This morning I used a clay bar on my daughters Honda then waxed and polished. Just now finished putting out four 35# bags of Scott’s Bonus S on the lawn. The daylight is burning. You have to get moving. Chop, chop! :D

My shovel days are over if I can help it. Finally decided that working smarter not harder was the way to go. Wish I had done it 30 years ago!
20190625_200056.jpgDefinitely not worth risking having back surgery. Trust me, I know!

I was thinking about having it rest on the wheel well but having it attached up to the rail with a bracket coming down. Based on some calculations it seems like the total weight will be under 30 pounds.

If I built one, I would use 2 pieces of aluminum flat bar with u bolts to attach the pipe to it. Then use uni-strut spring nuts to attach it to the rails. Make the flat bar long enough to allow the weight of the pipe to rest on the wheel well. Everything would be below the top rail of the bed and out of sight.

Working 12 hr swing shifts 6PM to 6AM has an effect on motivation, toss in the stuff that needs doing around the place and well.........
To put it in a nutshell I'm unfortunately busier that a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. Some things just have to wait. Not complaining (maybe whining a little) it just is what it is. I have to laugh when I hear some folks say they won't know what to do with themselves once they are retired.
I have the solution for anyone looking for something to do, come to my house! Always plenty of cold beer on hand!

Oh I know what you mean. I work 180 hrs in 2 weeks then I’m off for 2 weeks(yes 90 hrs a week). My schedule is completely weird but I’m used to it. My first 3 days off are balls to the wall. Sunday is rest/church/family day. We all have to make sacrifices. I’m just trying to get you motivated. :boink:
No beer until at least one project or honey-do is completed.

Now the no beer thing? That's a great motivator! :D
I know you're only busting my beans, it just gave me a chance to whine a little.
I'm kind of like the little train that could. I just keep on chugging along looking forward to that down hill grade.:D

Lol. That wore off after 50 machine hours and countless buckets of composted horse manure.
First time in my life that I didn't mind taking shit from someone. :D
