OK but if the noise is anything beyond gear whir, then yeah get ahold of the installer.

Just ordered mine from ECGS. I went with the diff exchange option they have. Seems like a no brainer to me. 5yr warranty and after I get my core charges back it cost me $1700.

Basically comes down to $150 extra and do it yourself or pay a shop to do it. I’m a mechanic and I still went this route. $150 is cheaper then I could setup gears

I got mine at SDHQ when they were having a sale. I thought ECGS was having a 20% off Yukon gears? I don’t remember what I paid but I thought it was less than $1500 and included REM polishing.

Gents, had my gears since about december, and was recently under the truck and noticed some possible leaks from the rear diff, and random spray on the diff case. Just looking for thoughts and if i should be concerned at all.. my installer wanted to keep the OEM seal since the truck did not have a lot of miles on it.

The seal should have been replaced imho. I always replace seals, never reuse them.

I know I questioned it and should have pushed harder because I brought a new oem seal with me. Pretty obvious it’s leaking right?

Where are the spots of oil coming from. Is the pinion seal leaking too?

that’s the rear diff so not coming from the engine or tranny.. it the splatter is running down each axle from the diff and on the bottom and top of the diff case. I don’t see it anywhere else though.

5.29 gears are here baby! May be a long time until I have them installed, but the're here.

Should I send them off for cryo or is it not worth it? Anything else I should have done?

Nice! Depends, cryo for me was worth it but I drive my truck pretty hard but most do not have them cryo'd. If you are near Denver I recommend getting on @thefatkid schedule for install. He has a thread around here.

Right on thanks! I to like to wheel here and there so it might be worth it to have it done. Thanks to one of your posts I did see thefatkid could do this install and I think that's the route I want to go. I'm in the Colorado Springs area but don't mind doing that drive at all.

Let me know if you ever wanna wheel! I see you're also in my neck of the woods
