Tried to get all crafty with the camera at Falls Lake, NC.

If I ever left my wife for a model, she would look something like this...

Man I started using the "Mountain Bike" app (by runtastic) back in like 2012 or something. Always thought about switching to Strava after it gained popularity but never did. Rode the other day for the first time this year, logged the ride then went to save and it wouldn't upload. Come to find out Adidas took over Runtastic and killed their Mountain Bike app support with no in-app notice until the error. So I've lost my first ride of the season, but good time to switch over to Strava I guess.

Due to the nature of the world around us, my wife and I decided to go to SLC to take care of her parents for a little bit.
We both have lots of friends in Salt Lake, but can’t really see them. Luckily my buds and I could still ride together, giving each other plenty of space. Still really weird...
So, I get to ride some trails I haven’t ridden in almost 10 years, with by best old buds. Such good days.
No action pics, but man, definitely fun and a bit sketchy good times.

Picked up the gravel bike I ordered. Living in BFE the closest trails within an hour are State Parks and those are closed (soon to be opened again for day use but you have to wear a mask). Haven't owned a road type bike before. Have plenty of county roads to ride but definitely not as fun.

Looks like the BST. I'm pretty sure my house is in picture 2. We were out on the same trails this morning.

Nice bike, trek checkpoint? I fee like road biking is a different kind of fun. I like being able to cover more ground at a faster pace some times. Just nice to change it up on occasion

Thanks! Yep, Trek Checkpoint. Was trying to ride the Giant Talon 2 I have on the road but it just wasn't working. Opposite of what you said, I wasn't able to cover much ground and couldn't go at a decent pace on that bike (I know it isn't made for that style of riding). Main reason I went with a gravel bike.

I'm looking forward to racking up the miles.

The checkpoint should be a lot faster haha. What part of Texas are you in? I’ve never ridden there but I’ve seen some people post some awesome looking gravel riding out there

I’ve done more bobsled laps this spring than I can count, but I’d join for another if y’all come up this way.
