same as i had with the RTT setup... not good, not too bad. depends on the type of driving... 13-15 i'd say is a norm overall

    camper update..

CVT 55 hybrid awning mounted. Tested the walls. Wind picked up so we buttoned it back up before getting pictures with the floor on..

This will give us another room option in bad weather as well as a dog room.

I used the lower track which I thought I might which is why I trimmed material of the awning mounts originally...

Pins slide just fine and will have access behind to allow open and close without issue...

I have had a few campers and those fans always collect condensation on the lid and then proceed to drip all night. It would be worth making a washable soft material cover for it that mounts to the trim ring.

I have been tracking my mileage for years and saw no significant change after adding the GFC. Larger tires and weight are much worse for gas mileage

    It's DLX son!
Is this supposed to be "no significant" change?

My driving conditions are not super consistent, but I would blame the GFC for about a 1mpg loss at highway speeds, depending on how fast I go. Going across parts of Utah/Nevada at 90mph for hours at a time it was probably hurting me more than at 75.

Yeah, missed a word there. And 90 mph will definitely kill your mileage no matter what is strapped to your vehicle. Instant mpg ratings aren't that accurate, especially on a vehicle running different gears/tires than stock. In the averaged result of the 4000 miles before and after the install my mpg numbers are .16 lower than before. That difference is not big enough to care about.

Hey gents, lots of awesomeness in this thread, any chance one of you would measure and share the front/back lean angles of the GFC? Building a DIY version, any info much appreciated.

I just finished up wiring my Fantastic fan. looks just like your setup. I'm looking into that flat lid you have. I didn't know that was an option from domestic. Did you just email their customer support on their website? Ive seen the lids for sale
    https://www.vintagetrailersupply.com/flat-replacement-lid-for-fan-tastic-vents-vts-2150/
but if domestic will warranty it that would be great! What did you have to do? Email them and send the dome lid back?

same lid. you need the new lift arm too. there is a slight difference in the lift arm between the dome and flat lids...

i went through their contact me page, https://www.dometic.com/en-us/us/contact-us

i actually first asked about the dimensions of the fan and lids... then they brought up the flad lid option. since they have a lifetime warranty on the domed lid, it was an option to swap over to the flad lid as a replacement.

you can call in and go through the warranty process.

    this might be the arm,https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Fantastic-Vent/FVK8014-05.html

the roller at the end is on the other side for the domed lids.

pretty easy swap... gotta take the fan apart, but you can do that while the fan is installed. just need a screwdriver

Nice setup! What brand and model Is your fan? Also what did you use for the shroud in front of the fan? And what is the solar panel brand? I plan do the same thing when I get my GFC, thanks for replying!

heres the link to all the stuff I got on Amazon. The wind cover is just a piece of metal I cut out from ACE hardware. I painted it black after cutting it.

Any review of the fan itself? I like the size of this much better than the other options.

The prices are listed, the only gotcha with mcmaster-carr is the shipping

can just silicone them in place (and paint them black if you want)

2 sets of them like $12.50 plus shipping and taxes. im decent at eyeballing it - but considering how often im wrong - seems like a good idea....

He isn't selling them, just pointing out that they fit the extrusion well.
