I figured out why my clear was going on so orange peeley. I didn't adjust the gun properly, too much liquid was flowing and not enough air. This new layer of clear I'm spraying is going on smooth.

I didn't realize you were a body shop professional.

Almost every paint booth is heated or has IR lights. You don't need it to cure, but it helps speed it up. California paint only applies for the propellant in rattle cans. I'm using professional body shop stuff you mix and spray in a spray gun, it is the same stuff you can buy anywhere else in the country.

Yeah the whole skyline thing is a classic case of not giving people what they want. For no real reason. Even Honda finally buckled and gave us a Type R.

Heaters are built into the paint booth, they're not rolling style ones like I have.

I can guarantee you automotive paint takes forever to dry. Even in Middleofnowheresburg, Indiana.

All this talk of paint drying is quite fitting as Im sitting here waiting for the 1st coat of poly to dry on my chair. Freakin beautiful wood grain. Made right here near my hometown back when people took pride in Furniture.

Oh yeah. My area in particular. In fact, our bi-annual Furniture Market/Trade show got canceled for this Spring. Huge blow to our local economy. Also, we have the worlds largest chest of drawers among other large pieces of roadside furniture.

Really interested in seeing your opinion on the Alcans. I have some Toytec 3 degree shims sitting in my garage. Also looking at axle relocation plates so I need to decide on one or the other. I think the axle sits a bit too far forward on double cab short beds. But the pinion angle needs fixing more probably.
