To be honest that thought has crossed my mind

 

Well geez. If you're gonna go that far you probably need a SAS too.

 

Replaced a leaky wheel seal and installed new shoes on the drums.

 

Leave a big enough gap between the tail lights and bumper so when you hit it and it flexes it doesn't just break the mounting tabs of the light. Had that problem with my first bumper I built.

 

Someone else mentioned that but I’m gonna leave it at that 1/4” gap, at least until it becomes an issue. With the bobbed bed it’s going to be really hard to drop down on that corner hard.

It'll be harder to hit but the hits it's gonna take are gonna be brutal. 1/4" might be enough and as long as your aware I'm happy. I've wanted to bob my bed since I got the truck, sadly I think I'll hold off till I get a single cab and Bob that.

Mind me asking why you did aftermarket hangers instead of a shackle flip? A shackle flip is less likely to hit, granted it can wear leaf springs out faster but if your already buying springs you could just get a really HD set or a custom set.

 

Those hangers are the bees knees! The ass end is so stable with them and the flex is super great too. It moves the pivot point rearward and down a little and with poly bushings in the shackles, even my 12” shocks are barely enough.

They’re also super stout. I’d rather hit those semi regularly than the risk of hitting the back of my leafs/flipped shackle.

 

Idk, I guess for some people it makes sense. Personally I'll be doing a shackle flip. It'll help eliminate another few inches before I actually hit something. My stock hangers and stock leafs flex pretty good already with a b110s (11inch shock).

No it's Warfabs bumper. Wish I could make something this nice.

This was what I made. It was my first time welding/fabricating anything so it was a little basic but it worked great until it broke both my tail lights in Moab. Didn't have the time to make a new one and warfab needed a mock-up 2nd gen for his front and rears.

 

That looks fantastic, much like 4xinnovations. I love the basic look and partly why I’m building my bumper like that. Also because it’s easy lol

 

Is there a place to mount the license plate on the Warfab bumper?

 

thanks, I’ve thought about trying to sand/buff them, but figured I’d just ruin them. I guess I should try, if I do ruin them I know where to get some replacements.

 

That looks awesome. Makes my DBLC long bed look like a limousine, haha.

 

Usually it comes with a lower bar for a hitch, it comes with a bracket to mount off the hitch.
I didn't want the lower bar because I would just hit it. He's designing another bracket for people who don't want the lower bar.
