I know nothing about flowers/plants, that kind of stuff. But I find some of it interesting.

    True story #71.6
We have these boxwoods in the front yard that had gotten way out of hand. They only had leaves on the tips, the inside of the bushes looked like grim death. So about 5 years ago I decided I was going to hack them down to nubs (they were prolly 6ft wide and 5ft tall and looked like crap). When my wife got home that day she was like, "what the hell did you do you dumbass?" I had cut them down to maybe 8" tall. Today they look great! The leaves are thick and they are about 3ft tall.

Why not fish with bait and let their chemosensory ques lead them to it? Apposed to purely visible questions.

I'll look into that. I spent another 65ish on lures this morning. Spinners, jerk bait, crank bait.
Everything the internets say works in April.

    Fake news!

I mentioned Rat L Traps because they will work but in my opinion nothig beats a black jig with a blue trailer on smallies and largemouth. Find some rocks and bounce the jig off the bottom; it takes some getting use to but I love it! Look at what they were eating

Got the other load of gravel spread today. After riding one in the bucket the other one wanted to drive another tractor. Then she was dusting.

If it's cold at night they are probably deeper. Off the bank a pretty good distance.
