Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

I don't even own a Tacoma, yet I've read all 3037 pages in this thread. So... How's that for dumb!?

You are supposed to send him the hasp... you can keep your dongle. Some folks have bigger dongles than others.

BTW, not to be confused with a Sentinel which is a brand of hasp. Think Xerox,Kleenex, etc.

Historically, when Mat says it will be a weekend release, it ends up being that Sunday evening. Check back tomorrow at around 5:17

But it would be

You would 1) Need to know what version your stock tune was AND 2) Have the file to flash it with.

 

If he had the dealer update his ECU I don't think there is any going back to a previous calibration.

 

I read it as: my current config isn't too bad, I may want to go back to this current stock tune if I try 2.0 and don't like it. (Not an ECU version change)
He wants to keep his own stock tune vs what is in the flash manager. So yes, he can read the stock current tune and save it with the flash tool. I've done it. Just read and save.

 

I read it as he wanted to go back to what his truck came with, as if it was some sort of factory default. Was just trying to point out that was lost with the dealer update (unless he can find the files for that original flash).

Morning! Does anyone remember if Ovtune released any tunes that are:

4.88
Decatted dump tube
87, 91, or 93 octane
Build 0944
For a Dongle owner (Not P5F files)

I have the 4.88 0944 build tune for stock exhaust and been running it for thousands of miles. I didnt download the decatted dump tube version when it was available on the beta page since I didnt have those dump tubed then, I am hoping someone can share it with me.


Edit: I do have a ticket in to convert to p5f files, just havent heard back from Mat @OVTune yet.
