And coming right the fuck back out.

From between the trans and the crawl box? K that's gonna require investigating....

    3FFBFACC-6F49-42CD-AD91-86373567588D.jpg

I was worried about the sealant on that one last night. I added the sealant and then had to fight the crawl box and xfer case to get them lined up and into the output on the transmission. I was worried I had taken too long and it dried out and wouldn't seal up.

    Guess I was right.

    Fuck.

It's fine. The crawlbox didn't leak. So that's a plus.

I don't understand why it's leaking into the trans though. I'll find out when I get it down again.

:thumbsup:interetsed what you find out. Today was a success with the axle seal and drum but I knocked the welded weight off a drum and the truck makes a funny sound when stopping but no vibes.:smash:

See how nasty the cast was on my case? I'm bout to give Marlin an earful for this thing. I feel like it was an Inchworm reject.

Thing is, Inchworm sold theirs for $699 with Marlin gears. Marlin charges just a bit more than that.. They're getting a call Monday.

As for the plug, next time you pull it, put some Teflon tape on it. Mine used to leak bad around the plug but Teflon seems to have fixed that.

Normally when you wait 12+ weeks for a product that you paid over $2k for, you don't expect that you are going to have to tear it apart and re-assemble it properly because it they couldn't be bothered to put an appropriate amount of sealant between surfaces. I don't have anything good to say about Marlin. Really sucks that this is what you got. There is no excuse for you needing to rebuild that box. NONE.

2.5 quarts of oil and additive. No drips, drops, or weeping.

Fingers crossed it stays that way.

I finally installed the CB I've been putting off since 2018

I put it in the back of the console

And the plug is on the side of the shifter trim.

The handset mounts above the cup holders

SWR should be in tomorrow. I'll probably get around to tuning it in 2022.
