$50 + a NIB uniden?


Squelch is a pain to adjust on the fly, it's like a 3 button press process, not just a knob to turn, and I'm pretty sure it received a shit load more interference than normal cbs. I ran this one and complained then read reviews on it. I tend to do that a lot. Buy things realize they suck and then read reviews and majority consensus is it also sucks. I should really start reading reviews before my PayPal/wallet comes flying out. While it's nice to have it hidden and all compact n shit, it's basically a wash with the +'s and -'s and general useability of it, were a $40-50 simple cb is just as good. Plus, cbs are capped at 4w so what's the point? Spend $40 and transmit at 4w, or spend $140 and still only transmit at 4w. That's like not using Geico and paying more for your car insurance. Especially if you're on stay at home orders, but your paying the same insurance premiums for all those theoretical miles you used to drive before the 'rona.

So I'm pretty sure I glued my rear diff to the axle. I used this stuff I had laying around, Loctite 5127 "flange sealant", thinking it was similar to rtv, but I'm thinking like most of the products made under the Loctite name, it locs it Tite.


The damn thing won't budge and both shafts are out and the locker is engaged. Not even a wiggle.

 

Put the yoke back on and come a long it.

 

I was just thinking that. I should probably put a couple of the stud nuts back on for when it finally decides to let go so that it doesn't end up going through the backside of my engine.

 

I am loving the banter this evening and this is just an awesome bonus

 

I know you drank at least 5 beers trying to decipher Jessie’s post. Did you forget to remove the axles. Asking for a friend

 

If I didn't know any better, sometimes I feel like Red Green is my real father.

 

They're completely out. I'm putting new axle seals in also. Im hoping I didn't completely wash out the wheel bearings so hoping I can repack them without removing them from the hub/shaft. I know it's easy to just remove the c clip holding the shaft to the hub.

 

Next quarantine mod is in the works.

All in good fun, I rarely take offense. There's worse things to get all rilled up about. The last time I tore into one of my trucks like this was probably 10yrs ago. Not counting the engine swap I did a year ago.
