I traveled Cross Labrador, all of the east coast and through central.quebec from west to east last year. Only thing I needed was I tire plug.
I walked around with an alternator for years with my 4 runner never used it.

Needed a thermostat in james bay, did without one.

These toyotas are very reliable. Well I've had good luck with the. Anyways.

I feel for the most part the parts you swap out as regular maintenance can be kept for spares and that will suffice. Anything larger than that and bringing the part is a logistical pain, let alone fixing it in the bush. I find a garmin inreach and good comms would go a longer way than having a NAPA in the backseat. Though an alternator, major suspension/steering components, fluids and a shit ton of zip ties, gorilla tape and ratchet straps could get you pretty far.

Had to parallel park this bitch in 4WD. Thank God for 4L as she was listing worse than the Titanic. The high reverse gear made for a nerve racking experience with that truck parked 30 feet behind me.

Now how many snickers bars can I fit in the glove box? And will they rub?

    It's in the pic!

See he's parked on an incline,
and you can see that major hill by his passenger rear tire.
He'd be at full articulation going over that event.
Wonder if it smoked at all on such a steep incline.

If you look closely by his driver rear tire,
you'll see the huge mud bog he had to traverse to get in this prime photographic position...
Might have even splashed his mudflaps givin 'er the beans in 4L!
See that huge tree all up close,
Ask a few members here what carnage happened when they got close to a tree!

Glad you shared your experience @KBOX on such a harrowing off-road adventure.

:rasta: Can you tell it's almost 4:20 4/20/2020 :drunk:

That front fender drag at the end was my favourite. Badass drive!! Those seatbelts really got a workout keeping the occupants inside
