It isn't. Its just The Law. Not allowed to pump your own gas.

Glad I only had to stop for gas there once.

lol. Nothing like a grinding noise on a monday.

Back in high school I drove an 82 volvo wagon. One day I was going to school and my gas gauge kept going down and down and down. I thought it was just screwed up, so I kept driving, it wasn't very far. I parked in the school lot, got out, and found a trail of gasoline coming into the parking lot and ending in a puddle under the car. Turns out the return-to-tank fuel line had come loose and was just spewing gas on the inner fender. Whoops.

    New trucks have tpms

If I don’t know a tire is low until I fill up with gas... that’s a problem. Use your eyeballs.

I wish it was that easy with the car, lol.
Got off work one night and the tire looked semi-deflated, like barely enough to make anyone bat an eye. Something you'd see on a bunch of cars if you wen't looking around in a parking lot. I didn't have a gauge or anything, so I drove home from my night shift, and asked @Slashaar to check it when he got home.
He's like, you're crazy, it doesn't look low, and I didn't think it looked that low either but I thought it was worth checking.
He puts the first gauge on and gets nothing, says it's a shit gauge and grabs another. Nothing again, so we try it on another tire and waddayaknow, 30 PSI.
Then, I get "THERE'S NO PRESSURE IN THE TIRE? WHY TF DID YOU DRIVE IT HOME?"
For whatever reason, this was the start of the slow leak saga on every tire of my last set, lmao. Now, not only do I have a gauge, but one of those little cigarette lighter compressors. Used to use it all the time, don't need it anymore. Now it's Josh that runs over nails all the time xD our newer sets haven't seen any action yet *knock on wood*
The rolla is too light for it's own good, same goes for the driver :bananadead:

The wheels on my taco are super corroded and leak air. I've been caught off guard several times by the lack of bulge. It is likewise not very heavy.

Car tires are definitely more of a problem. Especially since so many of them are low profile these days

Every couple weeks. AKA, just long enough for me to forget about it. Different wheels are in the works, that kind of stuff drives me nuts.

Yeah, I understand the look I guess but I would never. Especially seeing photos of peoples wheels after slamming into potholes, eek.

Sounds like it's time for some new wheels! May 25th I believe, Pick n' Pull does half off everything, and their steelies are normally 25 a pop, so if you wanted to go cheap, 50 bucks for a new set right there. Other stock wheels are normally 30 something, but you'll never find a taco or 4runner at a pick n pull.

you and your fancy Tpms lol

i had issues in the past with the fluctuating air temps in the stock tires, no leaks found then just the air temps go from 70s to freezing next day the psi dropped from 35 to low 20s in one tire outside of Des Moines a long time ago

it was so weird i tell ya

Turns out air pressure is affected by temperature. Who woulda thought

I guess I’ll add that to the list of things you don’t understand, right after elevation
