Just for fun. Thermal image after several hard pulls on 2.6 pulley at 57 degrees ambient. The truck did have a couple min to cool the SC in urban driving before I could take a reading.

If I'm reading your numbers right; It looks like your intakes are loose. Exhaust is mostly good. Unfortunately all of the buckets you're pulling out won't be useable elsewhere.

heat soak happens when you stop and park. ive done very hard runs, stop and check the s/c. its cool to the touch. in a few minutes its warms up from the motor.

Yep and that makes sense also. Motor heat transfer to the SC is bound to cause a lot of heatsoak due to the fact that the engine is a giant consistently running convection oven.

these blowers are very efficient when kept within their means. sure, we push them. but its rare we hold boost for more than a minute. they run cooler with a spray i hear.

    Should I be aiming for
    .15 to .20 range? not .15 to .39
    &
    .29 to .34 range? not .29 to .39

    I'm just using the charts.

.20 mm is the middle of the allowable range on the intake.

.34mm is the middle of the allowable range in the exhaust.

I wanted to ask. Did you get the same gaps for each pair of valves? Like Cyl #1 intakes both measure .30mm and have the same buckets? etc...

I measured each gap using feeler gauges. Then removed the cams. Checked which buckets were there and marked them on the paper. Then I measured each bucket as I removed them and marked the buckets with the measurement I had.

I started doing some moving around on paper to try and get them all within tolerance. Not done yet. But the direction I was headed while I wait for buckets.20200419_212252.jpg

The buckets you need are the numbers I wrote in red.
I posted the part numbers below that.
Double the quantities if in fact each pair of valves has the same gap and bucket.
