Weekend job. Finished rear bumper today. Thanks Morgan @At The Helm for great front and rear bumpers! Great guy with great products! Would certainly buy from him again!

Yes, cutting was a bit scary.

How she looks now. Rear lights are all wired up, so no wires hanging like in pic.

Now on to suspension, hmmm. I think a call to Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road is in my future.

Thanks for the photos. I have been told by the dealership and numerous tire shops that it will not fit. Now I just have to find somewhere that will Mount the tire for me.

Hoping to pull the trigger on a lift this week. I'm torn between getting the more affordable 2/1 spacer kit and doing 887 coils with 5100s and an AAL. Ughhh!!

You’re welcome. Discount tire told me the same thing. I showed them a picture of the guys truck with them on it and told them I was going to trim some plastic afterward. They still mounted them for me and even put them on the truck. I did have to remove the air dam so I could drive it haha

If you just want a 2/1 lift, go down the middle and get 5100’s and a 1” block.

While waiting for my last oil change, I found a video that went in to the differences in overall shock length based on spacers vs adjustable strut lifts. bottom line is spacers are garbage; you get more travel and less binding with adjustable struts like bilsteins.

Do you have a link for the video? I've seen other people go that route but I'm not sure how it works with stock coils and what setting for the 5100s and everything.

I am doing a 2”/1.5” lift with eibach pro kit from headstrong. It’s 4 shock/struts with lift coils. I added the 1/4” taco lean spacer, carrier bearing drop, 1.5” rear blocks, and had them assemble the struts before shipping. It ended up being $771 shipped.

I don’t, it’s on YouTube somewhere. search for spacers vs 5100’s I think. I screenshot that image because that’s the important part of the differences.

A top spacer lifts the truck by making the overall length of the coilover longer. This puts a lot of stress on the shock and can damage crap.

A preload spacer and 5100’s effectively do the same thing: preload the spring to make the truck sit higher. They take the same amount of effort to install since you have to take the coil over apart. But bilsteins are longer than the factory shock, so you retain full suspension travel plus have better damping rates.

To raise the 5100’s set the spring perch at the highest clip for a 2” lift, assuming you have a V6 4x4 Double cab.

What notch did you choose to set the strut? I just got on headstrongs website and they are offering $60 off of the pro kit.

Did you make the harness yourself? Hooked to the stock HU?
