Meant to mention he fabbed up my sliders and bed rack to perfection. There's a thread about his work, business is called Keepers MetalFab.

its rare but possible. Could be booster or the rod between the booster is bent or out of adjustment. I had one on an old ford that was out of adjustment.

Only thing i can say is try a full bleed on all brakes again. Is it pumping up pressure when your vehicle is off? Have you changed the booster before?

Pressure is not building on the pedal. But now that I think of it, the guy I was with wasn't turning the key on when he was pumping. Not sure if that would make a difference in a 30 year old truck?

We just picked it up, so not sure if aftermarket or not. I'll check all the lines and see, otherwise just replace the booster.

ignition should be off. If its not building up you got a leak somewhere or its MC.

Anybody have a bandsaw & drill press they'd be willing to let me use to cut down and redrill some steel brackets for a bed rack sometime next week? Or anything else that might work?

More than willing to pay in cash or beer! (all out of TP or that'd be on the table too :anonymous:)

Posted this over in the 2nd gen forums but I figured I'd ask here since yall are pretty active.

From my searching I apparently may be the only person in the world to have difficulty with this particular step of a lower control arm swap. Shock and cam bolts came right out in two seconds with no fuss, but I cannot get the steering stop to budge. I've sprayed it down with PB blaster and beat the hell out of it with a sledgehammer and it hasn't moved. Any tricks to this that don't involve a beefy press?

Do you have a tie rod or ball joint puller? Or a map gas torch? I assume you have new lca’s so if that one gets damaged it’s not too bad. Torch the adapter and give it another try

Tie rod puller is too small to fit around it, and I don't have a ball joint kit. You're right - not too worried about the LCAs themselves since I've got Total Chaos ones going in. I do have an oxy torch with a rosebud... guess it's time to give that a shot :bananadead:

Yep, just had to go for it. Made myself a nice little balljoint fire and got it freed up. Thanks!

Mostly wanted to make sure I wasn't missing an obvious step... This is the first truck that I've done anything more than minor repairs and regular maintenance, so I'm learning as I go. Figured it wouldn't hurt to ask before taking a torch to it :D

@ColoradoTJ do you know a girl that lives in CO that knows someone that's a moderator on an internet truck forum and drives a jeep? Met a friend of a friend this weekend that said she knew someone named Chris that fit this description. Had me and @Coot83 awfully suspicious of you

That doesn’t ring a bell. Do you have a description of the Jeep or said girl?
