LOL Thanks ! But I'm not planning on taking a hacksaw to my "horn" - at least for many years !! Otherwise I'll probably add a 6" platform with folding chair/ other storage under the camper to raise it.

Still like to know if a small camper will generally clear the Horn ??

 

Isn't that called a "Fin"?

The fin reminds me of a "Sleestak" from Land of the lost back in the early 1970's.

 

nice! Getting the winter tires off this week so I can start getting back up to these spots!

 

I replaced mine with a small generation 2 shark fin, but ended up having Meso custom make a one off similar to tthe up-top overland shark fin. I also added a XM antenna to my hood. Quite a bit of work... The OEM shark fin should fit under the camper overhang, but you'll lose XM reception. PM me if you'd like to know more, or check the link here.

Hah! I knew a guy in Basic Training we called Sleestack. Can’t remember his real name of course. Obvious comparison once you took all his hair off. Poor guy.

Anyone have experience/ideas for a good way to camp in a shell with it open? The tarp set up does work, but it's not ideal.

 

Easy up over the back? Though you still might get drips from water runoff.

 

Looking for something to close off the back for privacy/bugs/rain and stealth-ish camping.
