I’m having trouble with my factory tow connector on my 2017. I’ve put a multi-meter and I’m only getting 1 volt coming out of the trailer plugs. I’ve checked all three fuses in the engine bay and the one under the dash. Can any one tell me where the converter is on the wiring harness? I think it may be fried.

The "converter" is integrated into the combination meter/dash, it's not a separate item to be removed and replaced...

Here’s the wiring for the trailer connector.

Make sure you have a good ground. Your idea of a good ground, and my idea....you know. Lol. Go to ace hardware and buy a snowflake washer and put behind the ground screw. It digs into the paint and reaches the metal for better continuity.

Check rear cab wall driver side and rear floor cubbies if you have them.
That's where the OE converter box was on my 1st gen. Don't really know about gens 2+3 but can't hurt to look.

is this the ground wire directly from the battery or is there another ground wire near the 4/7 pin plug?

How did you check the fuses, by eyeballing them? Try testing with a meter for continuity - sometimes a fuse can look good but still be defective/blown.

you know that may be the issue, I did put the multimeter on the fuse and I didn't get a reading. I will try replacing them.
