Anyone with a guess on futures when they are out tonight ? I no longer have a clue what the market will do . I am positioned at a 64/36 in all my investments as far as cash and stocks . I just cannot see any clear path ahead from the weekend news .

So I guess 64% chance down and 36% up. But seriously I am not worried of missing out nor getting slammed in the near future .

that’s the thing is even though I’m not a member I actually liked 24 hour. There was a lot of people at work who would go off hours when they worked 2nd or swing. Getting to the gym at 9 off a swingle doesn’t leave you a lot of time if they close at 10.

aside from the philosophical debate that we as a species now have to have special buildings where we do physically activity. I liked 24 hour.

then again I never was a member and don’t know if they have any shenanigans with cancellations and whatnot.

either down as a rebound from Friday or up as a continuation from Friday. My guess is up, slightly. This weekend hasn’t brought any bad news, but nothing substantial in the good news. But there is a lot of push to “reopen” so since we’re heading that direction and there’s no significant bad news or anything like that. Maybe up or steady/slight up.

I still have PTSD from trying to get my wife out of XSPORT contract. I imagine trying to get out of a contract with a mexican drug cartel is easier and less painful than that.

that’s why I’m waiting until they open. My contract says I have to cancel by going to my home gym and requesting cancellation. I’d rather wait and not have any shenanigans at risk because “well it wasn’t by the contract”.

Xsport was we had to mail a letter, wait 90days, call, wait another 30days, keep paying the whole time obviously, then it went to a tribunal for a 3/4 majority vote, then another 60 days for a refund. Specifically could not do it in person.

Slight exaggeration but you get the point!

Reading that the drug trade from Mexico to the US has slowed because of the virus and increased the prices of illegal drugs for lack of supply ? Maybe some small positive for Covid-19 ?

Futures out . I wonder how long it will be before 200 pts. dow ,one way or the other will seem like a neutral market ?

It’s gonna be weird when the Dow isn’t swinging by thousands of points every day. I am so used to that now!

Up day, up for the week. A lot of states are re-opening next week, I feel like investors (me included) will use this week as anticipation to next week’s increase

I'm waiting to see how many death stats show up lower because they were lumping a bunch of them in as Covid19 deaths. The data for Covid19 is already so messed up (Chain's bogus numbers, bad testing, asymptomatic people who already had it, deaths from other issues categorized as Covid19) we won't be able to draw a lot of meaningful conclusions from it.

My IRA, Roth IRA are slowing climbing their way back up while still receiving dividends so far. I think I'm down 6-7% ytd. My 401K is all in a bond fund so that has held steady while still paying out dividends.

Likely we'll see marijuana legalization efforts increase significantly as a way for states to cover losses by taxing it like crazy and a few storefronts opening. I think decriminalization would help the economy more but that argument be too much powlytics for here

I was talking over all deaths, not COVID related. Like car crashes, work place related, heart attacks, stuff like that.

I'm not naive and what an adult does I could care less.

Unfortunately, MJ is very harmful to a developing mind. Giving it easier access to kids, isn't helping the problem.

It should be decriminalized just dont be like IL and tax it to the point where its 100% more than the illegal stuff and keep that trade going.

Investing wise I was keeping my altria for this, but national decriminalization doesn't look to be happening anytime soon. If it does I could see the tabacco companies making the switch over to weed and those would pop!

Pot smoking is so prevalent it is to the point of ridiculous. As far as a developing mind goes, I would rather it be regulated and know what is being used in its growth than having no earthly idea. Also, Inwould rather my kid give someone 20 bucks to get them pot from a store [like with beer] than go into a possibly dangerous situation to obtain it.

Edit I have nonkids... thisnis hypothetical.

Plus the tabacco stocks would pop and would be a good investment opportunity as less people smoke cigs now. ;):D

Regulation is far better than not knowing where the product comes from and what's actually in it.

With that said, there isn't enough of an effort to keep it away from kids (look at vaping) and there isn't a realistic method of determining levels of intoxication. Think driving, operating machinery, etc.

Would you like your flight crew stoned during an approach to your destination in bed weather?
