Lol my mom legally had to co-sign since i was 16 but I paid it off working as a oil change guy at a lube shop since I was a freshman lol

Well the banks don’t give loans to 16 year olds but most 16 year olds don’t make as much as me

Ya I know they do, with co-signers, but there isn't a 16-18 year old in high school making enough as a lube tech to pay off a brand new truck in a year and a half. Unless Daddy owns the lube shop.

 

Living at home most certainly helps still. I had a down payment of 13,500 from saved money from working from 2016 to 2019. I owed 24,900 something at the start of 2019 and I just paid it off this march, putting basically every dime I made into it.

Most who do step one, never do the second. Or most never do the first, then go for the second.

Well a bad financial choice is qualitative

The worst financial decision, beside reproducing or marrying, that you could have made. Yet, props for achieving it.

 

No teen is making 30k +/- in four years as a part time lube tech.

 

I haven’t even graduated and I have a paid off truck a year old that I plan on keeping for at least 10 years, don’t have to worry about buying a vehicle or major repairs when I go to college. I view it as knocking out an essential asset (vehicle) early

 

i made 30 alone in 2019 dude. 17 bucks an hour to change oil and I worked from 3 to 7 everyday when I got off school and 7 to 7 everyday in the summer for 3 months
