Do you track your steps at all? Sounds like you're making great progress.

I would rather come across that then a toe biter.

Its terribly inconvenient where I live. Wish i had a local spot I could just drive right up and do my thing.
Nope, gotta pack up, go somewhere far, park no where near where you intend to fish and hoof it in.

@OneGiraffe , No I don't have a step meter or whatever their called. I just clocked the distance with my trusty 1st gen trip meter. Since it does use 1/10 increments, I know its pretty close to what I'm walking. Maybe I should look on ebay for a cheap step meter just to see how many steps I'm doing. I counted my steps once for a 1/10 mile distance, but I don't remember what it was.

If I had to walk any great distance over rough terrain to be able to fish, I 'd have to give it up. I have many, many places here where I can park on the side of the road, and just walk down the bank of a creek, or finger of a lake.

It's a learning curve. Walk the lake, area and see if anyone else is fishing, look to see they caught anything (stringers). If they have caught, ask what they are using. If they won't say, just hang out for a bit and wait for a bait change, then pay attention to what rig is reeled in and what's tied/baited on the end.

to get more give a fucks, you have to wake up with a smile on your face, and a positive attitude. Believe me I know, because I didn't give a fuck for quite a few years. then I got married and had kids, then I had to give a fuck wether I wanted to or not. It's not an easy process, it will take time and effort to achieve. And good nap in the afternoon doesn't hurt either.
