or, get something cheap and learn how to work on it yourself. Something like an SX. Cool looking and sweet sounding for like 150 bucks.

certainly the shijie will be amazing quality compared to nearly any guitar, But the rondo made will inspire you to learn how to roll fret edges, replace electronics, and be a fantastic starter guitar. Most people don’t even adjust their truss rod because of ignorance or fear.

Guitars are just wood and metal.

Have you seen any of Scott in his new studio after he was off sick for a while? Looks pretty good.

Thanks! Those guitars are definitely interesting, never heard of them and I'm old. Upgrading crossed my mind, but just trying to get better at this point. A build down the road is definitely on the list. That sort of thing satisfies my OCD and is within my skill set. And garbage or not, isn't everything overpriced these days? Anyway thanks for the info. Always want to learn.

I did, he moved to a new place and has his stage set up, set up. Scott is best when he’s talking guitar tech, and is great because he just shows how most guitarists and luthiers are just dumb or con artists. Ha

I think you can find a better amp for that money.
And I wouldn't give guitar center a damn nickel.

Well, I can't really go to any other guitar shop locally and get one so :notsure:

What don't you like about this amp? It seems to be reviewed well. Has lots of good presets for a beginner like me

    Nothing really.
Plenty of them on reverb for the same price and free shipping.

I'd rather give my money to someone that could use it on CL or FB marketplace. Then a local guitar shop. Most still do curbside business.

Lastly to a chain. Sweetwater or reverb.

I’ll check out reverb. I don’t know of any local guitar shops here other than the pawn shop one.

The Peavey vypyr has all the controls on the front which I like. I've seen them for $100 used.

I had a Fender Mustang amp and initially really liked it, but after the honeymoon ended I found myself annoyed by the digital sound of it. I could hear the digital processing in the output and eventually had one of those "everything sucks!" nights where I was completely done with it.

I'm now running an Orange Micro Terror through a Bugera single 12" cab and it's just wonderful. The amp was $150 and so was the cabinet, so it's twice your current budget but it's money you won't be spending again.

A Bugera PS1 power soak lets me crank the gain on the tube, and a handful of cheap Donner and Danelectro pedals gives me every tone I've wanted. The Donner Yellow Fall delay is a well spent $30.

Anyway, my vote is for slightly more money that gets you more honest tones.
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00II6YZE0/

You can later upgrade the cabinet from that single 8" if you're feeling inadequate. That tiny little amp will easily push a 4x12" cabinet even if it looks comical sitting on top.

I'll take a look in to those as well. I'm just starting out so I don't really know a bunch. I've tried listening to a bunch of youtube videos on differences in sounds, and a lot of them sound the same to my novice ears lol. I definitely would rather spend another 1-200 on something I won't grow tired of after a few months though.

There's a long hair, metal looking dude that does reviews. He did one of the top cheapest amps.
Been a while since I watched it but it was great.

Been doing a lot of googling and youtube watching, and it really seems like that Fender LT25 is quite a good beginner amp. It's only 150 so it's not too badly priced. I think I'm just gonna order one. I'm too inexperienced to get use out of anything much better for now. When the time comes I'll upgrade, but I think to start this is a good choice.

Who wants a "One off", custom shop Jackson San dimas? lol. $3200 on reverb.

Be a great fiddle to play at the VFW on Friday nite.

thanks, man! much appreciated. it's a song we've been working out as a band. i'll find the original and post it up. but we're not sold on an ending yet so i'm using quaran-time to go back and work on some of our more iffy jams.

for the practice with Live, i might go and add drums and bass (either real or synth-- or both), and work on mixing/ mastering.
