I have had my passenger side go out recently, so I have some firsthand experience with this.. I also work at a Toyota Dealership lol.

It is most likely the control module that has burnt out. I think it is located directly under the seat. My service manager has seen the passenger side module go out in others a few times, but mine happened to be the driver-side.

How did you shorten the shifter? Did you cut and have to re-thread it? I really like this shifter and would look great if it was shorter.

Dude, you need to look into Plasti Dip Black. You just spray it onto your stearing wheel emblem and peal off what you don't want.

Thanks, I have a can in the garage, I never even thought about that  I’ll try it tomorrow. That’s a sweet shift knob, do you have a link?

I got my Hooke Road roof rack installed today. It is very sturdy on the truck and feels very solid. I’m happy with it for the price. A few things for any one that’s thinking about one of these, follow the directions! :frusty: Like many I received this box, glanced at the inductions, didn’t care for the way they wanted to do things so I tossed them and put the rack together, and it went together very easy. Today I tried to mount it to the truck and that’s were it all went south. In the instructions it says to mount the brackets to the truck first and then build of of that, apparently there’s a reason why. Any way after loosening every bolt, stripping a few, and a lot of cursing, I got it on.
I also got my grille surround back on and center console painted. The colour match is a little off but I’ve seen worse. I used black and the left over magnetic grey metallic on the console.8A4C9510-26E6-4DF7-9AEE-60927793AD8E.jpg9A4221C1-297C-4ADA-81D5-EE5D1A2D6F91.jpg BB41C7A1-602E-470D-B9C7-74D84D9461C4.jpg
I wanted to was the truck before I took the pictures but want to give the paint a few day before I touch it.

Did the cruise control and intermittent wiper mods. Went with all OEM parts from autoanything.com. Parts came in quickly and the install was pretty easy. Everything works like a champ.

I love it when a plan comes together!

Is it just me, or is that deflector piece mounted improperly? It looks like its pointed more straight down than it should.. or is it just the angle of the picture?

I will once I get into it, at this time I’m not going to run a FJ case yet. But maybe later. Ive been casing and studying all swap forums but there’s not much info for the second gens. I did find someone who completed it on an 06, so close but I think some wiring different from the 09-11
