    Here's an interesting website Rand.

    https://www.paintspraypro.com/hvlp-vs-lvlp/

I was reading another one that was going into detail about the types of compressors needed for clear coats. You might want to investigate this thoroughly.

No not yet. I'm cutting a hole in the front and back of the main tube and the recovery points/hitch will pass through it and get welded on both sides. I had to remove the bumper before I could cut the back side. That'll happen sometime this week, hopefully later today. I have a rough draft due today for my 1500 word research paper.

Did some more work on the bumper today. Added the hitch and recovery points, finished welding it, and got started on metal finishing it. I hope to have it done by the weekend.

Thanks, I’m wasting no time here!

Hey this was my reward after spending all day working on a paper for class. Rough draft was due today and I started it at 9am. I hate writing papers.

And just like that, BAM! Looks great Rand. Still digging the angles. Very modern. Did you get a chance to look at any other sprayers? That last one Chris posted was a little more than you initially wanted to spend but it seemed like a great system. I have a buddy in NM that has painted a lot of things. I could ask him if you'd like. Also, I wanted to ask, did you consider wrapping it? I know you beat it to shit but.......

I know whatever you decide will come out just great. I can't wait to see it finished.

Thanks Rob. I have a friend in Richmond who has a paint gun he's going to give me, so I can't beat free. I don't want to wrap anything. I want it as seamless and unnoticeable as I can get it.

Randy are you planning on spraying just the back half of the bed panels?

I haven't decided yet. I may rattle can it with some color matched paint, or I may remove the bedsides from the truck and turn my garage into a paint booth and go buck wild. This could be the perfect opportunity to weld all the fender holes shut, and then body fill and paint the entire thing.

We'll see, that will take FOREVER. But I may once I'm done with this bumper, who knows.

I need to see how much some 5 lug fenders would cost then they're smooth and prepped for paint and no fender holes. Would just need to make the bumper cut and cut out the 14".

I like the second option better, but the again I am an enabler :anonymous:. How bout a vertical MobTown decal on the seam until you get to the welding & paint at home part of it?
