Parking this right here. Interesting background on the used car market from Automotive News:
    https://www.autonews.com/used-cars/used-car-market-strange-moment

"The pandemic that has brought the U.S. economy to a near halt has also made for an abrupt turnaround in the used-vehicle business, a part of auto retailing that franchised dealers have increasingly relied on in recent years. Retail used-vehicle sales and wholesale auction volumes have plunged. Vehicle values are down significantly in the span of just a few weeks. It's left dealers wrestling with how to handle trade-ins and at what volumes to stock their lots in the coming weeks."

For the record, I am not arguing one way or another with this piece. Just thought this was particularly interesting because it quotes the dealer perspective.

My own personal view -- not set in stone and amendable to change -- is that Toyota will carefully manage production, demand will increase and prices will stabilize because it is in their best interest to make that happen.

if you can get financing from a credit union outside of Toyota. you may still be able to get new car loan rates on a 2019 model year that’s used. One credit union will consider a vehicle new with less than 6000 miles and another is less than 7500.

That's a pretty unrealistic number, $35k for a $43k truck, thats more than 18% off MSRP, I wouldnt hold your breath even with the rebate. 15% would be stealing it even in this market, which would put you at $36.5k and change for the new truck before OTD, that would be my target. I got about 12% off similar truck back in late Feb ($44.8k MSRP) with sales already tanking and me having to do weeks of back and forth. Good luck!

Thanks. I got another offer from a dealer at 37,500 same specs . I want to pull the trigger . Only thing holding me up at this point is I haven’t driven a manual as a daily ever. Learned on a manual and driven my friends coupe recently . But as a daily I’m still debating .

You should email both dealers and see if either will lower their price more.

2020 OR Super White with LED's Climate Control JBL black side steps and sunroof, all-weather mats etc. 39,064 2.4% for 72. Financing was arranged through SunnySide Toyota in North Olmsted but was picked up by KeyBank who I also have my mortgage through so that may have been an influence. I had a 2016 and paid about the same then so I was pretty pleased with it. MSRP is $44,459

I have an 09 dbl cab with 159K on it. I am getting the E02 for the springs and a frame replacement. Does anyone have any experience with working out a deal on a new truck?

Yep only reason I don't own one, Chicago traffic. The $37,500 is a solid deal, close to that 15% mark. Good luck and happy shopping!

Was kind of shocked when I saw this because Carmax is usually overpriced but if you go to their trucks and type in your name and email they give you and offer.

Also, I didn't know they had a new car dealer of Toyotas or maybe they are just partnering with some Toyota dealer.

Tax is not included but I thought the price was pretty great from what a lot of crap dealers have been trying to put on me.

    https://www.carmaxlaureltoyota.com/new-Laurel-2020-Toyota-Tacoma-TRD+Off+Road-3TMCZ5AN2LM328144

33,618 for this one plus tax. I think dealer fee is included. If it's not it's only $99.

Pretty much same deal as mine, I had the tonneau and tech instead of the side steps, MSRP $44.8k and paid $39.2k, little over 12%, no rebate for me took the 1.9% instead throught TFS. Good work and congrats!

Wow! What was sticker on that one? Where at? Been seeing a lot of people on reddit paying just above $32k (without fees and taxes included) for 4x4 Offroads that sticker just above $40k.

Just signed up here, because I'm ready to pull the trigger on a Sand TRD OR 6-speed in my area (Washington state). Just trying to lock down pricing.

Hey guys, lots of good info here, thanks for contributing. It would really help if you could provide detailed information to make the prices you are paying relevant to the rest of us. To just say you got, for example, a Sport 4x4 for $32500 doesn't help us much. A Sport can run MSRP $35400-$43000 depending the options, so it's hard to imagine you paying that price for one that has a MSRP pushing $42K. It would really help to know how it was equipped so we can compare apples to apples. Also, the "out the door" price differs wildly from state to state due to taxes and licensing and doc fees. Key info would be truck and options, MSRP, and price paid before tax, license and dealer fees and without trades, down payment or cash rebates. Just a suggestion to keep things consistent.

So I’ll probably be purchasing a off-road within the next month.

Do you think I should wait to see if they offer better Finance offers next month? I think the current ones expire May 4th.

My local dealership has the two trucks below I’m interested in. Haven’t made up my mind on a Auto or Manual yet. I’f my local dealership cannot let one go for a great deal than I’m going to expand my search to with in a 8hr drive(as long as saves exceeds the hassle of the trip) but I would like to keep things as local as possible.

What do you guys/gals think I could snag one of these for? I went ahead and figured 10% off for a reference.
