Here's that same emblem after a little polishing:

I did use your recommendations as much as I could using the products I already had in my garage. I think I started with some 220 grit and worked my way up to 1500 or 2000 using a little oil on the finer grits (that trick works great), then I used a polishing wheel and some jewler's rouge with my dremmel. Finally, cleaned it with alcohol and put the finishing touch by hand polishing with Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish and then buffing it with a soft cloth. I could have gotten it a little shinier with more work, or done more work on the sides and edges, but that little process took a couple of hours as is. I like how it turned out though. It matches my wheels and nerf bars now. Thanks for the cool product and polishing tips. BTW, what's the name of the paste you mentioned?

Ok guys here's the scoop of WHY I won't make them anymore. My top choice why I won't make them anymore is because I want to make different things for other cars and motorcycles, just things in general as well. The second choice is not really my choice... a few months after I made the first one I asked Toyota Motor Company PERMISSION to fabricate them under a certain time limit... I was surprised when they agree with me so I have roughly until the end of this year to sell everything I have and not to sell them anymore, if I get caught making them after the time limit I'm busted. I have proof that Toyota Motor Co. gave me permission BTW, everything I did was legit guys and I never mentioned anything about Toyota Motor Co. here even after people on other forums would call it copyright infringement. I had my kicks making them, that's the greatest joy of all this and not the money. Who knows, maybe I'll ask permission next year and have another time limit granted. As for now I'm just going to make a few first generation tacomas and that's it!

I'll give you a million dollars for an 05+ one. Would an I.O.U work? Just kidding, if you ever decide to make some more don't hesitate to send me an email and i'll buy one right away.

mine needed more than "a little" sanding and i still have more to do.

mine, being the last one, was probably the least desirable of the lot.
    that's usually how it works

Good news guys, I have in hands the first generation tacoma grill. If my sister would have told me days ago that the grill arrived I would've started a few days ago... I can't start on design work until wednesday but at least I have the grill.

The marks in the emblem are tool marks. personally I like a machine finish better, it's a more natural look that it was machined rather than casted or molded. I could've given it a much better finish on the machine or by hand, but it would have taken much longer and I didn't want to raise the price. To each his own.
