A former colleague of mine swears by these tires on his 2nd gen for the winter in Fargo. I'm now here in MT and use my truck on a rural mail route. He doesn't, he has a mail truck assigned to his route. I have more need than him to have aggressive tires on my 3rd gen due to it being used on my route. With the stock tires I'm getting flats though. Pointed gravel I guess is occasionally piercing the tire. Are these Duratracs 8 or 10 ply tires? That seems to be what I should go with is tires with greater ply layers rather than just passenger tires like the tire shop said is on these stock kevlar walled tires.

Awesome. Thank you. Does anyone else have experience with these Duratracs that can chime in?

I have Duratracs and I’ve been pleased with their performance on and off-road.

Very true! I ended up with a mean green h/o alternator that ran my $400-500 but took care of the these issues. I also did the big 3 wiring at the same time. Electrical is not something you want to get wrong, so definitely do the reading!

New meats. Couldn’t pass up the deal on them (and the wheels).

    4.88s coming in soon

yeah yeah, I know I’ve said a few times I wanted 35s + 5.29, but decided to be a little more realistic with a 2.7 considering this is my DD for years to come.

I feel I made a smarter decision overall.

Is your rail dropped? One of the biggest regrets of the backflip is that it uses my factory rails.

Do a Google search. There are many brands, configurations, and prices depending on what you want. Watched a video on one of them. Quite a useful tool.

I like it, currently set to city minus 2. My biggest appreciation for the pedal commander is it fixes the lag when you first give it gas. It does help with the all around drivability of the truck. With 5.29's it will be even better. I would recommend it.
