Yeah, I'm in a few thousand$ in debt as well, with about 1.5 years left of school. However, I'm sure I'll be able to pay it off eventually with good job placement for my field of study. I just keep telling myself that everyone has loans, so I can't be TOO far behind in life... :/

Been out of school for 8 years and still owe 25K. $700+ dollars per month. No wonder I can't do as much to my truck as I want to.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
Very true, they advertise them as a great low rate to pay for school, the problem isn't the low rate, its the fact the you quickly run up 40-50k at a small state school that you are stuck with for the next 10-30 years. In my opinion they are just as bad as the creditors who allowed everyone and anyone to get credit. In most cases the return is not worth the investment, people aren't able to get the jobs for most degrees, and thats not because of the economy, its people getting a degree to get a degree because thats what they are told to do.

Lucky for me I have a (relatively) small amount (14K left) because I was fortunate enough to have the majority of my school paid for, but yup, I have em too!

out of college for approx 6 years

took 2 6 month deferments over the course of 6 years

had $25K roughly at 3% interest

I have approx $1500 in debt all on credit cards at this point and $1100 of that was put on yesterday

In that time, I've bought, and paid off a truck, and paid off approx. $5000 worth of cc debt

It's not impossible, but it takes SERIOUS work and focus on your budget

i make roughly $5000/year more because of my degree...its gonna take a long time to cover that $100K my parents and I paid for my degree

    Yea Student loans suck!

I have a job in my major but still can't afford my loans.

22k in debt. One loan is $45 a month the other is $199!!!!!

Needless to say the $199 is on deferment!!

I don't care, and I'm not a grammar Nazi, but that's just too funny to pass up.

I sympathize with all of you who have student loan payments. I too was very fortunate and lucky to have my school paid for through a combination of hard work and parents/grandparents who were able to provide for some of my education.
